The Mojave

was the dialogue easier to hear this time around?

Much. This time ambient music isn't as same level as talking, which is great! It's learning process and by the end of this I'll bet you will have discovered a whole new skill set.

this whole thing in general is a learning process...thankfully, I have some people on the Nexus forums who are behind me and enjoy the series, so i'm going to try and get some help from some of the modders over there.

now that I know how to create NPCs in the GECK, Episode 3 can go into full production now. it may not be completed as quickly as the first two episodes, but this is when quality is going to count.

like episode 2, expect a little teaser preview of the beginning of Episode 3 in the future. also, in a way, the machinima has been endorsed by the creator of New Vegas Bounties, someguy2000, and he currently has a link to my channel on the page with his mod. for me, thats pretty awesome. :goodjob:

just a quick update...progress on Episode 3 is coming together rapidly. i'm working on writing the script and filming at the moment, as of now, I have about 2 minutes of footage or so in place, with some of the music placed as well. So far, Sony Vegas has been treating me wonderfully well, and I love that I'm now going to be able to--wait for it--UPLOAD IN HD! :D this has me the most excited because from here on out, everything will be in high quality and won't look so amateurish.

anyways, i had a good (safe) new year's with some of my close friends, and i'd like to wish everyone a happy new year and for having a small part in making the end of my new year awesome with your feedback and comments on The Mojave.

cheers to all

~Max

i probably should do that. but then if i did, the topic would get pushed way the hell back when i do decide to do an update. because editing the most recent post doesnt bring the topic to the front, if im not mistaken?

You could always wait until you have a lot more to update with, like once every 2 or once every 3 weeks.

speaking of which gabriel, you seem to have a good critical eye from what i've seen of your posts on the forums. mind if i get an opinion?

I'm not very good at giving criticism (positive or negative) towards fan-fiction, machinima videos or fan songs.
Can check it out a bit later though. :)

But right now I need to poison my lungs and afterwards play some Torment.

thank you for the feedback, it's great to know i'm still getting hits on this.

and more will follow, for i now present the third episode of The Mojave...in HD no less! while there's not much action in this episode, it does tell more plot. i also intended for this episode to be longer, but with college rapidly approaching, I wanted to get one more episode out before I started to get busy. Fear not though! I will still be working on this series, and it will not be forgotten.

Couple of announcements. I'm sharing these because for one, they all hit me rapidly today after my last class at college and they are all great ideas, and none of which will spoil anything for anyone who's been watching :) So here they go.

  • Season 1 of The Mojave will contain 8 episodes. Yes, I'm planning ahead when I say Season 1, because I knew going in to this that there will need to be a right time and place to put a beginning and end to this part of Wayne's story. However, I didn't quite know how many episodes I would make. I originally threw out anywhere from 7 to 10 episodes. I'm settling on 8 because it's a good balanced number.
  • Second, starting tonight I'm beginning work on the script for Episode 4. This episode is going to be a tremendous amount of work involving a good amount of scripting, something I have very little experience with, but I am welcome to the possibility of help in tackling what I'll need to do. If anyone reads this and hasnt been following and would like to help, OR, doesn't mind a little spoiling of the story, PM me and we'll discuss options :)

That is all. I really do appreciate the surprising amount of positive feedback you guys have given me thus far, as well as critical feedback on how to improve my directing game. So thanks to you guys.

I know at this point my "fanbase" is small, but I hope in time that will change and the amount of viewers will grow. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
