[RELz] Statue Resource

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 1:34 pm

Just finished up with another resource, it contains 2 types of statues one with a sword and one with a halberd and shield. Theres 5 different textures that come with it, 4 stone and a marble one (two 1024x1024 stone, two 512x512 stone, one 512x512 marble). Hope you like it! :)

Also i would like to thank Chainy for refining a few things.

Now these look cool, thanks aSaPp!5@

I did notice that, in the NIFs, the textures are defined as being in a subfolder of the Textures folder but the archive's not packaged like that. Also, there's a seam (not sure on the exact terminology) at the base of the pedestal. Understandable if one has to wrap a texture round an object. However, the seam is at the front of the pedestal and it'd make more sense for it to be at the back, as that's likely to be up against a wall when placed in game.

Regardless of my quibbles these look excellent and would grace the home or castle of any a warlord :goodjob:

nice work! :goodjob:

I agree with Dragon32 they do look cool. We need more statues for morrowind aside from statues of creatures...

What a nice resource to do - and they do fit the look. What made you think of doing statues?

Boredom :P

I was trying to make a set of armor and imported a bunch of pieces to scale my armor correctly and decided that it would be cool to make a statue, it was pretty easy except for the hands, they took like an hour each to bend every vertex individually so that they would look like they curled around the halberd or rested on top of each other.

Do you think you could make a mirrored image version of your spear/shield statue? I don't really know how hard that would be, just wondering if you could flip the vertices on the z axis or something, I think it would be cool to use them at the entrance to some of the castle mods out there, but it would be even cooler if you could have mirrored warriors on either sides of the gates............just a thought.

Oh, and thanks for these, they are quite awesome.

I'm not really sure why, but I can't get it to show any textures in game. I've tried everything. Applying new textures, moving folders, etc.. All looks fine in Nifskope, but in CS they're all white.

The texture path's need to be readdressed then, if they are listed in nifskope as just "name of texture".dds change it to textures\"name of texture".dds.

I've done that. I've even tried adding on new textures to see if something corrupted on my end, and still nothing in game. I've never had an issue like this.
