Ask Demetris and Ren!

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:42 pm

Demetris is a 16 year old wood elf from Silvenar Valenwood,
he ran away from home hoping to escape the cannibalism and savage wars that
go on between the tribes in his homeland. :bolt:

Ren is a 20 year old orc from Falinesti Valenwood, city in a walking tree of the bosmer king.
How in the world did he get there?
I have no idea, I'll think of something while you ask him.

While crossing the border to Cyrodiil Demetris was mistaken for a vampire as he chased down a deer and devoured it infront of a guard
(his cannibalism isn't completely cured yet) and was taken to the Imperial City for questioning. While waiting in his cell he
saw the blades come in and lalalala.
After escaping that from terrible prison cell he went out to the city to relax at The King and Queen tavern. There he met Ren (an orc
from the CM companions mod). After a bit of talking and drinking they found out they were both from Valenwood and both had dreams
of becoming aspiring Fighter's Guild members.
They shopped around for supplies and are now off to Chorrol to start building their new lives there.

They've joined the fighters guild, protected townsfolk from the recent increase in crazy hostile
goblins outside of the city, and are currently investigating a stolen painting for Countess Chorrol.
Currently lodged at the fighters guild, but they're planning of purchasing Arborwatch if they can
raise enough gold for it.

Well that's there story so far. I'm terribly sorry if I didn't explain it well enough. I svck at writing. :(
Ask away!

Elberond is from Woodhearth and has always wanted to visit the city of the Bosmer King. What's it like? Is there a lot of shaking when the tree walks? Has anyone ever fallen out of it while it's migrating?

Ren: The city is in the south of Valenwood for the summer and then moves north for the Winter.
Basicly just picture a gaint mile high tree holding a city, nestled in alot of vines and leaves.
I've never heard of Bosmer or Imga falling out, but there's a rumor that one or two orcs have
fallen to their deaths while the city was migrating.....

(I personally fail at lore. /facepalm)

Varesa Ienith: "Have you ever spent time at http://www.imperial-library.info/ Perhaps that will help you with your knowledge.

That aside, I'd really love to know what weapons you both use."

Demetris: Well I enjoy clubbing my foes to death, I'm currently using an ebony mace with a steel shield.
Ren uses a 2H silver war axe, but that thing scares me half to death when he swings it from behind me... :swear:

Note: Demetris fights more rogue like while Ren is usually running around without a care in the world wailing things with that axe of his. xD

What a delightful background! This sounds like a fascinating odd couple. Valenwood is so cool. I hope they enjoy Chorrol and their subsequent travels. :)

Thanks Acadian!

I finally figured out why my screenshots weren't working, the SS # wasn't the right one in the INI.

Elberond: "Hey, Demetris. I have some questions for you:"

"What made you decide to go with heavy armor and blunt weapons? I never could get used to either one."

"I got called to fight along the Elsewyr border for a while and I've fought in local conflicts with other tribes, so I can understand wanting to get away from that. Is there a specific event that made you decide to leave, or were you just tired of the fighting in general?"

"I haven't heard much about the tribal conflicts in Silvenar. Are they particularly bad?"

"My family and I are not the strictest observers of the Green Pact in that we don't always consume our enemies. (Especially the undead. Blech.) But we would never use the wood (or vegetable matter) of our homeland for building purposes. Is there a specific part of the Pact that you disagree with? For instance, would you..." *shudder* "...build something out of the wood or vegetable matter of home?"

"Did that Guard actually mistake you for a vampire just because you chased down and devoured a deer in front of him? Or was he one of those racist bastards that likes harassing anyone that's different? I've encountered a few of those."

1. I've never been too gifted at marksmanship, don't get me started on how my father tried to teach me. Blunts I just enjoy.
It may sound a bit barbaric, but there's nothing better then chasing down a wolf/deer/bear and clubbing it to death.
Heavy armor is completely new to me and I'm trying to adjust to its weight. I hope to one day hop from tree to tree in it
like normal. Until then I'm stuck on the ground...

2. "My father is a leader of one of the tribes there. I didn't want to grow up fighting wars and eventually replacing him.
I wanted to go out, travel the world, and make a name for myself."

3. There's an occasional monthly skirmish. Overall there's not too many a year, although when they do happen they get quite bad.

4. "Being the son of a respected tribe leader I had to devour all my enemies. Luckily I've never had to ingest any undead enemies.
I agree with most of the green pact, except devouring every enemy. We could just bury the bodies, it would be AMAZING for the
plants"

5. "I believe he was just plain stupid. He even kept me shaded from the sun as he took me to the IC on a road runner (mod). Kept blabbering on
and on about about being made a hero for actually finding a Valenwood vampire."
