How can I play Oblivion and enjoy it?

many console players forget to mention they're on console... I always assume the person in on PC, so I sometimes waste time on this.

I do too. I've spent much time and energy typing up a detailed reply (sometimes several replies) only to find out a day or two later that they're worthless. It can get very tedious to have to continually ask players if they're on PC or console before writing up a long response to a problem. I've suggested in the past that there be separate threads for PC and console users but it seems I'm the only one interested.

That’s because the PC thread would go something like this:

“What are you running these days?”

“Oh, right now I’ve got my Mystic Elf. She started her journey in Chorrol through the Alternate Start mod. She’s wandering through Better Cities, handling any danger she comes across with her Deadly Reflex martial skill. Recently she got a CM Companion to help her handle the heavy lifting. They joined both the Archaeologists Guild and the Improved Order of the Virtuous Blood. I am toying with the idea of letting one of them become a werewolf because I just got Curse of Hircine.”

Here’s how the console thread would go:

“I saw a mudcrab the other day . . .”

I so lament the fact that I am on the console!

I think it's because most of the forum member are on pc, I can see the problem you are addressing which is why I I always have my platform of choice in the sig :)
