A Theory on a problem with the game.

It was a nice moment, yes. but too bad all three kids had the same voice.

Totally. Kinda like how the same 3 voice actors voiced ALL of the characters in Fallout 3?

I was not apart of the masses that was *blown away* by Fallout 3, I enjoyed some aspects of it, but the its Inner value became real quick to me after some time. haven't played for a few months and when I did Mods floated that boat. but this is about descisions yes?

yeah I agree their voices were the same lol.

i think we should differentiate between actualy replaying the game and starting a new character to roam the wastelands i made like 10 characters in fo3 and completed the MQ exactly once, but i can already see myself doing the MQ a couple times in NV

One of the biggest mind blowing replays was when the 2nd time I did blackrock mountain and I decided not to shoot it up that time.....

Both FO3 and NV have their place. I agree that in some respects FO3 is better than NV, and in others NV is the victor. When FO3 came out, it was something new and interesting, and though the main story was very bland and horribly scripted, the game had a lot to do. There was a lot to explore(this is not a comparison on map size so much as the magnitude of the game compared to others at the time.) But now with NV, people expect to have a lot of places to discover and are undoubtedly having fun finding them, but beyond getting a new place to fast travel to, a lot of them offer nothing but a couple of caps, or a usually average weapon for the effort of having to find a path because you can't just go over that mountain you were having no problem trekking up just a minute ago because there's now a wall there. New Vegas offers you a much more flexible play style with more options on how you want the story to go, and it certainly has replay value, but I don't see myself wanting to keep running off and find all the dull places again and again. I'd probably rush through the story mode to unlock the different endings as quick as possible, but I'm still enjoying my playthrough so far before doing anything to complete it.

I think FO3 tried to add a more personal, though poorly written, touch to the story. You were looking for your father(and who doesn't like Liam Neeson's voice anyway?), so it gave you more reason to continue. But in NV, you're just out for revenge, plain and simple. Where's the option for people like me, who just wants to find Benny, put a bullet in his head, and get on with my life? Who says I want to get involved in this huuuuuuge political debacle called the Mojave. I'm a human being, my needs and wants are simple. And if I'm wronged, then I'm going to go and get me some revenge and get on with my life, not join the army to better the world cuz I plugged a guy.

Meaning full descisions in FO3? even with the expansions that is a overblown statement.

Getting water to the Wasteland Post FO3 and into Broken steel, you still see guys *thirsting* for water on the side of the road.

Blowing up megaton? Big whoop 2 areas to get food and a shop what a loss. It leaves you with less then a handful of *towns* each with less than 9 people each save Rivet city. You never *see* any meaning ful outcomes to what little decisions you have in the game.

Nothing makes me *want* to Kill the Enclave in Fo3, generally I shoot them because they shoot me, I don't see them razing settlements or making peoples lives hard in FO3, same for BOS regarding helping them.

NV on the other hand I will bring up one Point.

Shooting that rat for the kids to eat. AND THEY SAY THANK YOU? that alone floors all the *descisions* in FO3 knowing that I just fed a couple of kids with a bullet, and it wasnt an option flaunted in my face like so many of FO3's Faux choices.

If this were the Steam forums, you would be bathing in +rep from me by now.
Anyway, that last statement goes into my signature. If you don't mind. :celebration:

I have to disagree, I find the exploring much more fun in New Vegas for one simple fact, NO METRO TUNNELS!!! Its the wasteland, you can't expect there to still be a ton of stuff lying around just for someone special like you do you? Come on now most stuff is picked clean.

I think FO3 tried to add a more personal, though poorly written, touch to the story. The ONLY thing keeping me going in Fallout 3 was revenge too (no not for my fathers death) that had to be continued from my small village Arroyo back in Fallout 2. I will never forgive the Enclave for that!
Okay so let me get this straight, you DIDN'T want to find Benny? You DIDN'T want to get pulled into a very interesting political battle/war? then why buy the game? Don't you know the nature of RPGs? I just don't understand your statement, you get pulled into all of this because of your job, you get caught up in the mess of things. It almost wasn't your character if i remember right but the other guy passed up the Job
