As an avid Fallout 3 player I went to No Mutants Allowed and downloaded the Fallout Bible. I have to say the Fallout universe is much bigger and much more detailed than I ever would have imagined.
Now to my question to you: Should I buy Fallout 1 and 2 to get the full experience? They look very fun to play and it would be great to be even more immersed in the Fallout universe. Now don't worry about gameplay and graphics and all that. I couldn't really care less about those things, as long as the game has an interesting story and plot. EDIT: I know they're turn-based, but that's fine with me. I have fun playing both real-time and turn-based RPG's as well as other genres.
About the system compatibility... I run with Windows Vista Home Premium. Will my PC be able to run those decade old games? Does it require additional patches or similar? If yes, please provide me a link to where such a patch (or similar) is found.
To sum up:
Should I buy Fallout 1 and 2?
Can my PC run it? OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Thank you very much in advance!
