Fallout: Tactics already did this.

But the turn-based mode in that game was far more fun.

I would love a Fallout RTS to death.

It's be problematic to pull off, best served by a Company of Heroes or Dawn of War II style, but it'd be so much fun.

Don't you have a party of like 4-6 individuals max in Tactics, though? A slightly larger scale RTS would be cool.

Also, on a bit of an unrelated note, I'm thinking of getting Tactics; does the "real time" VATS system in that function well, or am I better off with turn-based?

I don't like the idea... Unless it also would be on console, then I'd be all over it! But Bethesda or Obsidian had to develop it. Or maybe Ensemble could pull something off. They did it with Halo: Wars, they could do it again (only better!).

Console RTS? :\

Not to sound like a stuck-up [censored], but PC really is the best system for RTS. The controller just wasn't built for games like that.

It wasn't built for FPS's or RPG's either, but that doesn't keep us away from playing Fallout 3, NV and things like CoD on it, does it? You should try Halo: Wars or maybe C&C3. Those are great console FPS's.

I'm not saying it should be like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (a console to PC port); it should be built from the ground up on both platforms, so the consoles don't get left out, but the PC doesn't have to deal with the restrictions of a console.

Ensemble did do a really good job with Halo Wars, but they closed after they made the game.

I had no idea! Maybe we can get Westwood back together? :P
