Are there really transformer robots in Skyrim?

Good news about the Dwemer Centurions being in. I'm looking forward to seeing what they've done with Dwemer ruins, and what other creatures might be in them. Something new, maybe?

I'm a big LOTR nerd, but I fail to see much in the way of similarity between the Dwemer and the Naugrim. The Dwemer are not short, they look nothing alike, their culture is based more on the Sumerians and the Babylonians, not Nordic Dwarves from the Elder Eddas. The story behind them is completely different. The Dwemer seem to me to be far more original than most Dwarven incarnations in other books and games, which many times are just Naugrim straight out of Tolkien. Kudos to TES for at least using some imagination.

Don't worry OP, normally things of such machinery would ruin the immersion for me too. But, having played Morrowind, I can say that dwemmer constructs did not ruin the game for me at all.

And besides, Dwemer ruins were one of the best sources for loot. And who doesn't love loot?

I hate Dwarf steam technology with a passion. Hopefully there's not much of this in Skyrim and I hope Bethesda never makes an Elder Scrolls about the Dwemer. There's already too many RPGs filled with bad Dwarf humour and tech.
