Mod Instillation ?

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 1:34 pm

I am real new to installing mods and need some information on abbreviations .The only ones I have installed so far were the factory ones from Bethesda like Shivering Isle .I also have the Mod Manager . I want to install Open Better Cities and when I read the instillation instructions it says I should create an OMOD and activate it .My question, what is an OMOD ?

Thank you,

I recommend you read the pinned http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/449239-oblivion-mods-faq/ and also the obmm.chm file that comes with OBMM.

Read this http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/newerusers page. I also recommend following the first through steps of my http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/walkthroughs/baininstallguide. There are introductions to the utilities mentioned within on the "Programs & Utilities" page. An OMOD is a file compression format used by the Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM). You can find all of that information on my site too. Do not rush too much...that can lead to crashes. ;)
