Question about FOOK settings

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 9:24 pm

Alright, so I finally got F3 to work, and I have a question. I know that FOOK has settings that you can change in game.

Problem is, I don't know how to acces them. The instructions say 'O' for FOSE (which I have) and some glasses for non-FOSE users. 'O' doesn't work and I don't have the glasses. What do?

Nope, still nothing. Does the 1.1 beta have features you can edit in game?

Set bDisallowMenu to (GetStageDone CG03 0 == 0)
The menu is disallowed until CG03 (a.k.a. Future Imperfect) starts.

<!>'s are most likely an indication of a bad install, but we still might have a few .NIF's in the wrong places or filepaths needing updating. Can you discern which items they are? Are you using the most recent hotfixes?

What's up with the red exclamation marks? They only appear when I have both FOOK2 and MMM on and when I have one and not the other on; if it's neither then there are no marks. Would I be better off using FOOK RC 1.0 with MMM to solve the marks?

Many, particularly if you have FOSE. There's a BB code list in the RELz thread here with every button in it.

That's up to you. One way or another, there will be a new FOOK - MMM plugin avaiable before long. It still could be a bad install though... What forms are missing their models?

Well, when I started a new game, I figured all was well. I fired my pistol, though, and the bullet casing ended in a red mark. I thought nothing of it until I saw them all over the place. From what I can tell, some of the textures are wonky - Malcolm in Megaton's armor is all over the place, and other than that it seems to be guns and armor. Should I reinstall both again and see what happens or should I just download FOOK RC 1.0 since I know for a fact that it's compatible with MMM?

And also, when do you think a compatibility patch will be made?

Something's wrong with your install, for sure. Wipe the slate clean and start from scratch, I'd say...
