I'm new to mods, and just started installing a few simple ones to help decorate my character's house. I installed Decorator Assistant to help place and lock items.

I decided I wanted to unlock an item and move it, but I cannot figure out how to do that. From reading the text file that came with the mod, it looks like I am supposed to pick up and drop the item again, but when I do it snaps back to its locked position. As such, I am not able to drag the item over the decorator assistant "altar" to unlock it. Any ideas? I did a search in the Mod forum, but I didn't see anything specific on how to actually use the mod.

Known problem, and there are a couple of alternative mods to the mod on TesNexus that offer fixes for the unlock, presumably in different ways.

Search "Decorator Assistant" on TESNexus. You will find two mods that offer fixes for the unlocking. The "Decorator Assistant Unlock" mod sounded preferable to me because it offers a spell instead of requiring you to use the console, as the other mod does. I cannot believe I forgot about this mod. I think I want to find an alternative solution. I probably do not care about placing much other than books anyway, and I already have http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19847.
