Where do you find a sleep spell? Cause I've been asked by the mage's guild to cast one on a noble

Yes right there in the Mages Guild. A most comforting thought in such a big beyond big world.

Well the only spell that *might* be of some use is Hand Of Sleep which has Damage Fatigue. When I use it, I can't get the message to pop up :( so I don't know if actually works or not

I think when you cast it on the intended target it will tell you if it worked or not. Just shooting it into thin air as if practicing i dont think will bring up the box. I could be wrong though.

The quest the OP is talking about requires the standard Sleep spell, no deviations.

Another quest you may get is to cast a 'open' spell, and only the standard 'Open' that the mage's guild sells will work. You can use your level 1+1/2 open spell in regular usage in towns, but only open works for the quest.

And make sure to not hit the target of the sleep spell with your sword. You can get kicked out of the guild for killing that guy.

Every time I've tried that quest, they never sell the Sleep spell in the same guild I get the quest in. I'm 99% certain you're going to have to hunt down the spell, and now that you've started the quest it's probably going to be that much harder.

Folks keep saying that minimal open spell is only useful in towns and for training. I disagree. I've actually had some luck using it in dungeons, and at level four. In fact, it's what I usually use for opening doors. If I have enough spell points, I generally start with the regular Open spell, which usually fails. Then, if I have anything left, I spam my Lock Jimmy Cantrip at the door... and it eventually does work. I dare say it's actually more efficient than dumping an entire Open spell on it!
