I've tried to do the Morgiah-to-King of Worms letter quest but I can't finish it. If I fast travel to Wayrest the King of Worm's response letter disappears. I've heard some people can fast travel to places other than Wayrest, but all I can do is fast travel to place very close by, even then there's a chance the letter will just up and vanish. I've tried just going to Morigah, that doesn't work. To make matters worse, I don't think I can travel via foot because I leave the King of Worms tomb on the 22th in game date and on the 26th at exactly 6:51 AM the letter will disappear, if I could fast travel I'd probably get there before then. I've tried THAW, but all that does is reset the quest to the very first part of the quest and I'd really rather not redo the quest. FIXSAVE.exe doesn't do anything.

Is there anything I can do to salvage this?

Nevermind. I said to hell with it and just reset it.

For the future, did you patch Daggerfall to version 213? I believe that bug with the letter vanishing on fast travel was remedied in one of the later updates.

I did patch to 213.

I never had this problem even in the original release i got to do this mysterious messenger service job with no problems.

This quest has a time limit. Yours ran out.
