I have a very strange problem right now. Whenever I try to type in the codes to get Daggerfall to work with DOSBox like "mount c c:\dosgames -freesize 1000." my "\" key does not work, instead it types the "]" character.

Try all the other non-alphabetic keys with and without shift and see if any of them type \

If that doesn't work, try using the builtin keymapper (CTRL+F1) to assign \ to a new key.

Mine did that, too --- I mean in Dosbox when I typed : I would get like / or something.

I think this is because Dosbox is set up to automatically use the US Keyboard layout? by default?

There should be a way around this....

I think you can download a file that translated Dosbox to your language; I downloaded the translation for Danish language and haven't had any problems since then.

If this doesn't work, I think youi can change the language in Dosbox..there should be an option to open a file with notepad and write: language=Danish (or Swedish)
instead of language=English (or US).

You can probably also try to remap your keyboard though I don't quite know this is done...

On my keyboard (Danish) in ordet get to the \ key I need to hold down the ALT GR key and then press the \ key nearly at the same time.

You can always try with / instead. Sometimes this will work as well...
