Scripting a removable wall

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 2:19 am

I'm looking for someone with some scripting knowledge to help me with a small script.

in the script i want:

1. when a custom switch is pressed it removes a custom wall section (this is for a non-Ayleid tile set)

2. when pressed a second time the wall is put back into place

3. the presses can be continuously repeated and open/close the wall section

4. sounds of the wall being removed and put back with their respective switch presses

As of now... the only scripting I've ever done is attaching switches to the wall sections and gates in Ayleid sets...

That would be easier to do using an animated NIf instead of scripting. What wall section were you looking to do that with ? It should be fairly easy to copy\paste the model into an existing animated gate or portcullis Nif and adjust as needed. If you need some help with it PM me and send me a bit more info on what you need (ie. do you want it to Raise\lower or move sideways) and a copy of the Nif you wanted to use and I'll see what I can put together for you.

OMG! I totally overlooked that option! I know JUST the Nif for it too! Let me try that out and see if it works!
