RTS
Ensemble Studios.

Oh wait...Microsoft bought them out....what fetchers!

Joking aside, I'd like to see another adventure game, like Eye of Argonia.

The only spin-offs that I condone (which I only condone because they exist) are the Travels games... it makes sense that you would love TES so much you want to carry it around in your pocket. As far as the company, not really too familiar with them... but in content, I would like to have something that tied into the actual main gameworld of TESV... not sure how, but for example if I had collected a slew of TES lore, the game could let me access those books on my train ride, or while waiting in the lobby at the dentist... something that accented my main game, my TES experience rather than being a simple game on its own.

Oh that would be awesome if you had the whole of Tamriels Library on your phone! Perfect for long trips. Maybe a app?

Just wondering why you would't want Bioware to do a spinoff, with their more story driven style they could really flesh out less known parts of TES history.

Becuae I find linear RPGs quite annoying and much prefer sandbox. I don't mind them making other games but I don't want them making games in my favourite CRPG setting.

If we are talking about quality of course it has to be Bioware. But CD Project is a developer whose style feels more appropriate for an Elder Scrolls game. Regardless, it is always Obsidian that does this sort of thing.

I'd want Piranha Bytes to make a spin-off.

Setting: the realms of Oblivion
Player character: a lesser daedra (can choose "race" among the humanoid lesser daedra -i.e. any lesser daedra that can equip armor and weapons)
Genre: RPG action/adventure

Subadim, I really liked the avatar you had going :/

Eye of Argonia was a planed sequel to Redguard that had Cyrus stealing the Eye of Argonia and pissing off the Hist in the process. Rumor has it that it was fully designed but was never produced. Beth has since said that they are not doing spinoffs, but I with the novels and the potential MMO, not to mention the travels games and oblivion mobile, that statement looks to be redacted.

Beth said they are not doing spinoffs? When did they say this?

But back on topic, if Obsidian even touches my Elder Scrolls, I will cry.

Bethesda's last spin-offs nearly ruined the company.

Well, I don't think a non-linear sandbox Elder Scrolls RPG made by Bethesda could be called a spin-off, it will be a full TES game :P

I also prefer a sandbox RPG and I prefer a Bethesda made TES game, but if a more linear adventure TES game would be made, like Red Guard and Battlespire I wouldn't mind if it was made by Bioware, as long as the main TES games are made by Bethesda and are sandbox RPGs.

True. The company was nearly dissolved and there was almost 6 years between TES II and TES III. Of course Bethesda are financially much better these days so we probably have nothing to worry about but the current situation with the Fallout spin-off and the never ending speculation about the announcement of TES V feels a bit like a deja vu.

Tamriel: Total War, or maybe a Mount & Blade, if they could pull it off properly. Ive always liked the idea of conquering Tamriel. And I think theres more then one person who would like to see large scale battles with Elder Scrolls factions.

Piranha would do a fair job. We needs Dunmer with gravely South-side Chicago voice acting!

Arkane Studios would be another choice.

Most likely a spin-off would be a complete failure... :sadvaultboy:
