Dull light in game but not GECK

SOLVED

LightCeilingVaultR04On looks no where near as good in my game as it does in the G.E.C.K. Any ideas why?

I really wish my light could look as good as it does in the editor.

Hmm that is really odd... Try deleting the light, and placing it back in? And are you talking about the light object (hanging on the ceiling) or the light emitter? Because both the object, and effect look rather dull ingame. Do you have an mods that would modify this or something?

No mods except the one this light is in. I tried re-adding the light fixture but it still looks bland and dull in the game, I'm referring specifically to the light fitting's texture. It's almost as though there's no emissive map on it. It's really bugging me. But for that I'm ready to release what I've done.

In the geck do you have bright lights off (which it looks you do) and the sky on, perhaps the sky/fog is whats dimming it. Click the button (on the top toolbar) with the cloud and word SKY on it. This enables fog, and it should look identical to it ingame, now if its all dim then you have fog on way to heavily or something.

I had sky enabled in the GECK and turning it off made no difference. I just realized I had Bloom lighting in my game settings, changing to HDR lighting fixed it.

Alright. It seems a tad bit odd bloom would be messing that up, but I guess if it made the dim light darker, it could end up looking like that.

Bloom doesn't really support the "glow" effect lights and glowing surfaces have with HDR.
