change character or race's "thickness" weight

Is there any way to make a character appear fatter, like in Oblivion or Morrowind? I tried editing the race's weight past 1.00000, but it appears to do nothing. Height can go above 1.00000, but is weight capped at 1.00000?

I'm pretty sure that weight setting is a disabled holdover from Oblivion. It doesn't seem to function reguardless of what you put in there. I'd guess that if the height adjustment still works, one could increase the characters scale a little bit and reduce their height to give the appearance of being a bit overweight. Never tried it though.

I know weight does nothing, you cannot change it, and I do not think you can change height either. Its one spot where FO3 just made a bad generalization, but I think its fixed in NV. So your kinda out of luck. Your best bet is to make custom clothing that bulges out as if the wearer was fat.

Thanks, bummer about those limitations. Height works.... it just keeps the same height/weight ratio so a shorter person shrinks in scale both vertically and horizontally. I notice that the child race has weight less than 1.00000 (the head always seemed rather big on them). So maybe 1.00000 is the max for weight.

Jessi, the companion from the mod, her height is set at .98, and she is indeed that tall in the game, or at least she seems to be. I had coincidentally made my character that size in this playthrough and when I hired her they were the exact same size and when I checked in the GECK she had indeed been set smaller than 1.
