Dear Community

But hell, I think a petition was unsuitable in the first place, a standard poll is much better suited for discussions, and though that may not be what was intended for this thread, it's quite obviously what it has become.

edit: I'm with vtastek, just close the poll.

Well, BrodieSWR originally did intend for this to be a petition.
All the discussion (and chaos) came later.

Like I said, this was never a question of yes or no, but rather "yes... but then what?".
The results have been good, too.

BrodieSWR managed to get more than forty "signatures" in favor of something being done about the "Fortify Health" issue.
Hopefully, Hrnchamd will be able to help.

It seems that the "D&D-style bonus" option got the most votes.
It will still be up to Hrnchamd to decide which one he likes better though, if at all.
I do hope he'll do something about this... I'd hate to think I wasted all this time for nothing.
(Especially since I really should have spent it working on the Ascadian Rose Cottage... I'll start on that later today, though.)

Regardless, yeah I think this thread has just about run it's course.
The mods should probably close it soon...

If he wants, BrodieSWR could open a new topic for more proper discussion later, though.

While I agree there is no reason to remove the "No" option, and I too (speaking as someone in favor of a change) feel it should be re-added, I would disagree with the statement that the community does not support this.

The original opening post, IIRC, said something about wanting to get full community support. The last time I looked at the poll (before no was removed), it was something like 30% for no, roughly even split between the other two. None of them was really in the lead, the only thing you could say was that ~70% of people wanted some kind of change, but there were 2 or 3 ideas of how to do that. My comment that the community doesn't support it is based on that.

If you're going to have a poll, you might as well have a no option (because then the autocalculated percentages will include that and give you a quick idea of how many people are for/against). If you want a petition, might be better to find some way just to count the "yes" votes, or make it a single-option poll with only "it needs changed".

But the big thing is if you're going to have a no option, don't delete it once people start voting for it. That's just underhanded politics and not fair in any way. Then the whole thanking particular people for their "support" just polarized the discussion into sides; it should never have come to my side vs your side, it should have remained a feature debate. Perhaps the OP is ignorant of how such things are done, or perhaps they intended for this.

But that's the difference between asking a serious question and getting serious answers, and just trolling the "dear community".

Hence my suggestion that this not be left to Hrnchamd, instead have someone who feels so strongly about it just go do it, instead of discussing it. That was it actually gets done, how people want, without stressing Hrnchamd or leaving it up to his opinion.

Regardless, yeah I think this thread has just about run it's course.

Absolutely agreed.

Please no.
