Culture SHOCK!

I played FO:3. I played FO:NV.
I went to FO:3 General Discussion. I went to FO:NV General Discussion.
I went to FO:3 Mod talk and Mod help. I went to FO:NV Mod talk and Mod Help.

I think I died a little inside.

Both games were equally good, both did a few things better than the other.
However, the FO:3 forum section is one of the nicest, forum communities ever, and that's an accomplishment for a game.
Everyone is willing to take and give opinions about FO:3, good and bad.
They are willing to help with any mod problems, general problems or hardware problems.

the FO:NV section is like... my dear god. It's like I walked into a portal that took me to the land of really devoted fan flaming.
90% of the remarks and comments are ill conceived, relentless bs, and they don't take it to nicely when you point out, even the smallest flaw, in the game.

Did FO:NV change you, cause it didn't change me >_>

People get stupid when a new game is released, especially when there's a lot of hype surrounding it. Suddenly Fallout 3 is the worst game to have ever existed, or it is the best game that ever existed and New Vegas is the buggiest game that ever existed. And if you disagree you're wrong.

After a while things calm down. People see the qualities of both games and accept them for what they are, and a few patches will stop the thing with people signing up just to complain, and then leave again a few days later.

Making a topic just to flamebait and flame members posting in another forum is a bad idea.
