Dropping an item

OK, I'm going from PS3 to PC. How do I drop an item? Stupid question, but I can't figure it out.

Don′t know if it is default, but for me it′s holding down shift and select the item with the mouse

yea, shift-click is the default. you might want to try checking the controls options, and customizing them so they work best for you.

Shift click to drop, or just left click and hold over an item if you have enough room to drop it in, the menu will close and leave you holding the item.

Awwww..........jeez. I would have never figured that out. Thanks so much.

OK, I've got the controller working almost exactly working like the PS3, but is it possible to get everything to work on the controller? Or do I have to always use the mouse. I can't close the journal menue with the controller, I have to use the mouse. Additionally, I have to use the mouse to manage the weapons and spells menue, but have to use the game controller to open and close it. Is this normal, or am I missing something?

I have never used a controller myself, but my friend uses his 360 control all the time. Now I am not sure if he has it programmed right or not but he still has to use the keyboard for a few things not to sure what for though.

Thank you for the link Chemist. I bought my sister a super button game pad, very similar to PS3, but I have to constantly switch between mouse and game pad. It's just very distracting.
