Vanilla Death Claws

Any idea why Fallout 3 vanilla Death Claws are so "lame?" The Bears are the real threat. I didn't really run into Death Claws when I used to play Fallout 3. Having come back from New Vegas, my new character saw a death claw for the first time, and it was a push over. It didn't take too much damage to bring down and only walked where it went. The "yogi bears" on the other hand, they are deadly, full of health and move quickly.

The first couple of deathclaws I usualy see when I start a new game only have a small fraction of their total health. Any I see after that are at full health and are lethal. The bears are nothing compaired to a full powered deathclaw.

They're not so lame when you have low perception and they hit from behind. If they're in my 180 arc in front of me, yeah, pretty easy. Yes, the bears are very quick. One on one, I'm cool, but when there are two or three, that's different. Dart gun plays a heavy role in slowing down the action.

I have yet to kill a vanilla Deathclaw with a direct hit from a mini-nuke. All that does it make it angry. And like Bill Bixby said, I don't like it when they're angry! :ahhh:

My first encounter with a Deathclaw was pretty one sided as I only had a 10mm pistol. Guess who won :whistling:
