This thread was made to counter all the FO3 lovers on this forum. This is meant to be a place where people can congregate who LOVE FNV. I loved FO3, but FNV blows it out of the water.
Now, for the arguments and the counters:
FO3 Lover: Fallout New Vegas svcks! It is so linear in every way! I mean, they force me down south!
Me: You are wrong. New Vegas has plent of non-linearity. Every quest has several options to do the quest! No one is forcing you down south, you can in fact go North from Goodsprings and go that way.
FO3 Lover: Ok, but The invisible walls!! And the deathclaws blocking your way!
Me: I can agree, the invisible walls are annoying, but the deathclaws are there to teach you to think. You cannot go everywhere from level one. It teaches you to level up before you can face those enemies.
FO3 Lover: Fine, but look at all those unused spaces! This map is so small compared to FO3!
Me: Wrong.. The map is about the same size. Josh Sawyer counted all the tiles excluding the unused space, and it camed to about the same size. The pip-boy is misleading!
FO3 Lover: -Sighs- Oh, but the game ends! What the crap! I cant keep playing! I want to see my decisions!
Me: The slide at the end tells you what happens. The game had FOUR endings. Bethsidian would have to release FOUR different DLCs for that. Also, many of the choices have VERY far reaching consequences. The DLC would have to have enough quests to show those affects that happened years in advance. That would be impossible.
Alright, no flaming, keep this thing civil. No trolls either.
