[RELZ] Gnomes of Winthrop

Winthrop is getting a lot of competition for his needed scrounge materials-people building robots, fixing old water-pipes with nobody trading to HIM. But Winthrop has a PLAN.

Trade with Winthrop the stuff he needs and get a prewar GAG Chinese Gift Gnome! These Gnomes, if shot, releases trapped psychic "ghosts" placed there by a mysterious chemical transmogrification effect as the result of defective Chinese manufacturing methods combined with radiation of the post war environment.

It seems before the war, faulty Chinese production processes allowed toxic chemicals to contaminate pet food, toothpaste, baby milk, toys, drywall and assorted other items with unpleasant results. In the case of the Gnomes, Winthrop is leveraging this to his advantage, and you can be part of the fun. BEWARE--releasing hostile life into the placid wasteland as well as killing it may screw with your karma, be warned!

Once a Gnome is obtained, shoot at it and let the party begin. The larger amounts of stuff you trade to Winthrop will result in more durable and interesting wasteland life spawns from the Gnomes. Small arms are best used as the Gnomes can be destroyed. In case you fubared your BB gun as the part of a huge one shot one kill nuclear weapons mod, the BB gun has been nerfed to one damage. Insure Gnomes of Winthrop loads after any increased damage BB gun weapons mod.

As an added bonus, if you have the LawBringer or Contract Killer perk(the perks themselves are not changed), they give you a Gnome of your own with an imprinted Regulator or Talon Merc ready to assist you in your time of need. Shoot the Gnome and your NEW FRIEND will appear ready to aid you in your mission of body parts procurement. Your new friend, though not initially designed to be a full fledged companion (they are after all only psychic imprints placed on the Gnome requiring kinetic energy to be released), they can be Shared and Cared and Remote controlled Plused for greater flexibility. It is NOT advised to give these "imprints" any booty, weapons or clothing you may wish to retrieve later after death, as a search of their dead body will cause them to vanish.

Incidentally, as yet another reason to visit the lonely Winthrop, his repair skills have been increased somewhat as well.

Install:
1. Download the zip file.
2. Unpack the zip file to your game folder \Fallout3\Data
3. Copy the \textures\ and \meshes\ folder to your game's \Data\ folder. Since this replaces NONE of the vanilla textures, you can over-write if asked.
(Stuff should end up as follows):
Fallout3/data/GnomesofWinthrop_AllSpwn.esp, GnomesofWinthrop.esp
Fallout3/data/textures/clutter/gardengnome02
Fallout3/data/meshes/clutter/gardengnome02
Fallout3/data/meshes/effects
Fallout3/data/textures/effects
4. Activate the mod from the 'Data Files' list on your start menu or use a Fallout Mod manager such as FOMM.
Activate only ONE esp
GnomesofWinthrop.esp= only Winthrop and Perk Gnomes spawn
GnomesofWinthrop_AllSpwn.esp= ALL Gnomes should spawn something if shot

Uninstall:
Uncheck GnomesofWinthrop.esp or GnomesofWinthrop_AllSpwn.esp
Delete (if desired) the gardengnome02 out of the Fallout 3/data/textures/clutter folder
Delete (if desired) the gardengnome02 out of the Fallout 3/data/meshes/clutter folder
