NCR guards won't let me in..

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 5:59 pm

Hey people. I recently started to play old fallouts and having an weird trouble with Fallout 2, i never encountered before.
Perhaps this has something to do with Killap's patch i installed or maybe this has something to do with Bishop's first quest..though i doubt they later.

The problem is, the two NCR guards won't let me pass inside the city.
Yes, during the day (or night, doesn't matter)

They keep saying "come any closer and you regret it" and "we've been warned about you..." (and they really do shoot me if i come closer)
But my karma is well and good too.

Any thoughs?

This seems to be very obscure thing, as i played Fallout 2 quite alot and never had problems with getting into NCR :sadvaultboy:

Put your weapon from the the weaponslot in your backpack and leave the slot empty. I believe you've missed one dialog saying something along the lines of "We don't allow guns here". If this doesn't work, or if you already had an empty weaponslot while trying to get in, I don't have a clue what's going on.

IIRC there's someone in Combat armour in a nearby building. Try speaking to them, they may put up some floating text that helps.
