No voice acting

ok, so i found out about wyremash's installer, (bain?) so i've remade my game setup from scratch (it was getting to big anyway)
with the bain-thingy it's a lot easier to install mods (well, easier to uninstall them). i can keep track of all the junk i end up installing etc etc

but now people dont speak to me....... i've started a new game, watched the openning movie, but juib or any of the guards wont speak.

now i'm not sure if it's a broken script (the one\if that makes the people in chargen speak)

No mods that obviously affect character generation there, anything interesting in your warnings.txt? Not that I really expect it...

just looked in MGE, i'd ticked "disable audio" so gonna test it in a bit and see if it works :whistling:

though why could i still hear music?

Bummer, nothing to write home about in the warnings.txt.

Unless someone else comes along with a bright idea I think it might have to be a http://www.mwmythicmods.com/argent/tech/bin_srch.html.

I seem to remember some reports of weirdness when MGE was enabled during character generation, although that was some time ago and has probably been fixed. Might be worth disabling it (just temporarily renaming d3d8.dll should do it) and seeing...

[Edit: Missed that last post. MGE's something I use without fully understanding :) So can't really help there, my above suggestion's a real longshot anyway]

haha, yep. MGE is weird imo, so complicated especially since i don't know much about games.

i'd of thought that even with audio disable the NPC's would still move their mouths. or atleast the Chargen scripted message boxes would wait for the duration of time it took for an NPC to speak to be over..... did that make any sense?

btw it's not a MGE thing, it's a INI edit thingy (whaoaaoaoao!! big difference)

NOT THE BINARY SEARCH!!! NOOOO! anything else? i hate it!
