fallout 3 pc issue with freezing

i bought a brand new laptop and its pretty descent at playing games lik assassians creed 2, bfbc2, mafia 2, but when it comes to fallout it freezes up alot. i messaged tech support and after takin forever to write back they told me that my processor is not good enough and some other stupid [censored]. well here my spec for my laptop. ASUS K52Dr, Processor: AMD Phenom™ II N830 Triple-Core Processor (3 CPUs), ~2.1GHz, DirectX Version: DirectX 11,ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470, Display Memory: 2797 MB Dedicated Memory: 1014 MB Shared Memory: 1783 MB Current Mode: 1366 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz). i think that should be all u need to help me. they said that bcuz my processor isnt 2.4 that is the problem but idk. if so how can i fix this?

You have a CPU with more then 2 hardware threads which the game really doesnt like to run on, try the fix for that.

Open up the .ini file located in My Documents>My Games>Fallout 3. *Do not alter the one in the actual game directory labeled Fallout_Default_ini*
In the FALLOUT.ini find the line

bUseThreadedAI=0
change the 0 to a 1

then below it add the line

iNumHWThreads=2
