Some more pieces I've retextured for the lodge areas. The kegstand is a rework of the vanilla kegstand, but with a new barrel/keg. I had to shrink the stand to fit, and moved the spout to match the texture on the keg. Not all that hard, except that blender doesn't get collision data, but it did require a bit of tweaking to get everything to line up correctly.

The coloring was borrowed from the guardhouse/lodge set.

Updates:
I have almost finished the second pass on the Southern coast. The rivers now have names (simple ones - there is the South Branch, and the East Branch), and I've started working on the shape of the South branch. It now has a flattened, pebbly delta on one side of the mouth, and a sharp cliff on the other. I still need to add statics, and get the vertex shading perfected, but it is looking a lot better, and better integrated into the Leeward Forest.

Which is the next thing I need to work on. Right now, the forest has no trees! :)

Also, I finally got MGE working with distant land. Unfortunately, it makes my landscape work look like warm, stinky behind. I'm going to need to do a lot of work to make some of the coastal areas look better with MGE turned on. I was a bit shocked, and appalled, the first time I walked to the lodge with MGE active. The water looks incredible, though - so that's something. (The Blackwood river is properly vertex shaded)

Hopefully screenshots soon - when they don't look so awful. I did turn the distant blur up a bit, and that helps... ;)

Looking really excellent. I was particularly enamoured of http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/9706/mgescreenshot38.jpg, and prefer it to the http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/9817/mgescreenshot40.jpg version. To me the single waterfall is more striking as it's alone, but maybe that's just me.

Keep up the good work

I see what you mean, but it actually works a lot better when you are closer. The pathway to the lodge has you cross the lesser falls over a small platform, and the mist is right next to the boards. Originally, I hadn't planned on adding one - but the rocks just seem to naturally imply one. ;)

This is how Ravenwood keeps the riff-raff out. The mouth of the Southern Branch is full of big rocks - most just barely breaking the surface. The locals have the rocks charted, others - not so much. ;)

I finally got around to finishing up this retex/cleanup. I wish I could remember who did these galleons to begin with - I really need it for the README. In the meantime, though; I have cleaned them up tremendously. They started out at nearly 1.5MB, and a hideously complex internal structure. They are now down to about 750kB, and 10 nitrishapes a piece.

Those galleons are Dongle's. Nice retexture by the way I've been considering doing something similar for my WIP. :goodjob:

After a long hiatus, work has resumed on Ravenwood Island. I'm working in the Leeward forest and southern coastal areas. Interestingly, I'm finding they aren't as large as I had thought. I may have to dredge up some more ocean floor! (probably not - I'm having enough trouble landscaping what's already above sea-level)

No screenshots yet, but I should be in shape to take some soon. I want to get a bit more of the landscaping done. I do have the basic roads and surface in, though.

Exterior shots showing the development of the coastal areas near the Blackwood River. As you can see, the critters are starting to move in.

Oh, and sorry about the snow. It snows a lot in this area, and I often forget the long region name to manually alter it.

Thorarin is the proprietor of the Blackwood Lodge. He doesn't take AMEX, or Septims. Instead, you barter with meat, furs, and other items. He will, however, allow you to sleep for free.

More snow and rocks. These shots are from the area along the south branch of the Ravenwood River, and the wolf plains. Obviously not done yet, but they are starting to look a lot better.

I also fixed the region map for this area. When I finally defined what was high, and low, it didn't quite match up with the original region definitions. Regional weather should be a lot more stable along the coast now. This was especially annoying around the Blackwood Lodge, as the lodge was in the highlands region, while the lower river was in the coastal region. It would be clear as a bell when you walked out of the lodge, and snowing before you got a hundred yards...

It wouldn't be Ravenwood without some strange machines somewhere! :)

These are part of the main quest. Nothing major, you just have to visit each one, go through a procedure, and return the data. The trouble is getting there. Each of these are very remote. One of them is on the far side of the island, in the real wilderness (no roads, no lodges, nothing but bears, wolves, and horkers)

One shot was just convenient. It was just starting to snow as I left the monitoring station, and it made for a great shot.

All but one of those are standard rocks with a new texture. Let me know, and I can send you a copy.

Argh - finally.

It's not precisely right, and I have to use some funky scripts to get the timing right, but it works. A standard, large-scale valve. I know, there are some Dwemer valves, but this one is mine. :)

Now, maybe I can figure out how to get that stone wheel to work. It only needs to rotate in ONE direction...
