Self control works fine.

There's an OBSE mod that enables permanent death. Die once and you can't reload a save from that character again.

Kinda svcks if you die because of a glitch though... In which case Self Control may be better.

i remember a mod awhile back that added some sort of system to saving and perma death..damn wish i could find it.

I believe its called Ironman Oblivion or something of the like. I can't find the link though.
