Quest Mods?

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 1:34 am

I've been floating around through Fallout 3 mods for quite awhile but Im not seeing anywhere near the number of quest mods as Oblivion had, so I was wondering if anyone could point me towards some that I may have missed.

Look on the Nexus for a mod author named Puce Moose. He has created some of the most atmospheric quest mods that I've seen.

In particular, I recommend To Sleep... Perchance to Dream; third in a series, it's a very well made mod that is just... eerie, especially when combined with the Existence 2.0 Radio mod.

ive seen alot of good ones started, then scrapped. IMHO the modding community for F3 either is'nt as big, or not as dedicated as the oblivion community. heres the Nexus pagefor quest mods though-

Hmmm... clicking that link showed me exactly zero mods. I recommend http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1056342-mezs-gameplay-and-immersion-mod-list/.

It includes several quest mods along with other types of goodies.

Quest mods take a long time to make - give it time. :)

How about the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6270? I haven't played it myself, but remember hearing a lot of good from it.

I made a small one, nothing spectacular as I've only been modding a couple of months.
This introduces into the game Ariana, the sister of someone important to the player. Sends you to a fun place aswell, one that really should have been made more of in the Vanilla game in my view.

If you start a new game you will be told about Ariana by Amata just before you escape the vault, if you load into an existing game you will need to assume Amata told you about her.

For those who run the RR Companions Vault mod there is a version of Ariana where after the quest is completed you can hire her as a companion.

The quest portion of the mods are identical

Please be gentle if you give it a go, it was my first attempt at a quest

There is the one in my sig as well. Its huge (~14 hours to complete), but only 95% finished. Still a very fun mod full of puzzles. It is not easy though.

I recommend the puce moose series starting with http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4730; and each gets better. With the second in the series "an evening with mister manchester" you get a "friend", and the third is the already recommended "to sleep perchance to sleep." If you have point lookout play http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7268 by the same author. One thing really good about his mods is he is actively supporting them.

The already mentioned http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6270l is also excellent, but is not being supported.
