Electricity sound repeating

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 6:37 pm

I just put together my new game and loaded up my save before exiting Vault 101 (clean save with no mods installed). I exited the Vault, waited for everything to load up and finish doing what the mods needed to do. I traveled around the area up to megaton (didn't go in though) then went to go into Silvers home. In here is when I noticed this weird electricity sound that keeps repeating over and over again. I exited Silvers home, it was still there, went back into Silvers homes, still there, left again...still there. I didn't know what to search for on the forums (besides electricity and no such luck) to find a solution. Anyone know where this could be coming from? Thank you!

you have one and a half weather mods. You have Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm but not any esps - then you have Xepha's Dynamic Weather.esm and associated esps.

the readme of Xepha says it is not compatible with any other weather mod.

Thank you very much for pointing that out to me! The readme said for me to do this, in order for the Dynamic Weather - Rain mod to work :)

Skingrad24's Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow MUST be installed and its ESM activated for Dynamic Weather - Rain to work !

Please note that Skingrad24's "Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp" is NOT required and should NOT be used if you want to utilize Dynamic Weather's Rain weather types and climate. Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm IS required and should be loaded before Xepha's Dynamic Weather.esm.

It couldn't be GNR could it? I removed all the meta tags from the whole folder that the songs get placed into.

yeah, you're right

I would start by unclicking mods that made sound, like radio and weather mods.

I know what is happening now, I just have to figure out which mod it comes from. When I am in the Misc section for items in my pipboy, there is an item that is called "Issue Command (3)". When I click that, that is when the sound happens. I guess I was trying to test out if Silver could become a companion and that is how it started. It is probably user error on my part, so I won't consider it a bug yet :)

[edit] Ok, the item comes with Companion Share and Recruit. I don't even have the perk to use the item yet, so that could be the reason :)
