Destructable Environments

I kinda expect destructable trees... it would make sense considering that there will be woodcutting.

Going from this, since there will be weapon skills, we can also safely conclude we can kind of suspect destructable enemies.

Maybe this is a dream for TES 6... But they should at least leave char marks where fireballs have hit, ones that wash away in the rain. I still hope for my original post... I really want that.

That's likely, as it's merely a decal.

Where have we heard that before? Wasn't every NPC is Oblivion going to be different? Wasn't every playthrough of Fable going to be unique?

Superficial differences in a battle don't provide incentive to keep battling. How fun the actual gameplay is achieves that, and it has nothing to do with destructible environments.

A game will be successful at this eventually. With the rapid growth of technology, Its going to be soon.

Maybe even 11/11/11

One building being razed wouldn't really affect the performance at all.

Your right because that would be a scripted event.

The only reason I see not to have fully destructable environments would be if it takes way too much time for Bethesda, which I doubt :)

I really get tired of saying this but here we go again anyway.

Bethesda Open game world + fully destructable enviroment + 32bit runtime = NOT ENOUGH MEMORY

The sooner you people get this through your head the better off we will all be. You can't add ANYTHING as resource intensive and not give up the game world. You can't have both and most of us don't want to give up our game world to get features that can be experienced in other games.

Would be good if it was like that but my observation is that majority of the community finds it good to lose detail for action stuff.
