Perhaps you fall down a crevice in a glacier and the only way out is through the creature's labyrinthine lair?

No.

If this beast is near impossible to beat last thing I want is random encounter where I *have* to fight it. Think of the people whining on the forums. We would never hear the end of it.

If it is a random chance of it opening but we can fight it whenever then thats cool with me.

If it is the toughest monster in the game when you kill it, and then you get an even better weapons; all the other unfinished quests in the game would be made far too easy.

I would much prefer they focus on the final Dragon fight.

The game is already geared for fighting giant creatures. Such as fighting Dragons and Giants. So this isn't too far fetched. We have our dragon shouts to help fight the giant monster.

well sounds cool, but it most fit the lore and the game. If beth doesn't add this, I'm sure some modder could easily :)

Who said the best weapon in the game is going to be over powered and make the game too easy besides every game has a best weapon.
Like your going to be lvl 50 by the time you get the weapon it's not like you can create a character go into the cave kill the demon or what ever and walk out at lvl 1 And kill anything in one go... And I would think at lvl 50 the quests should be easy anyway and if you reach the max I wouldn't be surprised if you have done all the quests by then.
In oblivion I completed all the quests in the game before lvl 19.

What if no ones ever seen it before and has been in the throat of the world for millions of years?

Nirn literally hasn't been around for millions of years. (Not disagreeing with you, just pointing that out)

I'd like to see some Boss monsters that have a demon's souls esque difficulty. Bosses that inspire the kind of moments felt when first encountering Tower Knight or some other boss monster. The feeling of "OH [censored]! How the hell do I even damage that?"

haha yea exactly! xD That was actually one of the first things I did in oblivion, scaling an Orger 12 times bigger and then place it some random places in the forests :shifty: from that time on the guards were right about staying on the road muhaha
 but I were the only one experiencing it... hmmmm maybe I should do the same with Skyrim and upload  good idea fine sir

Don't worry we will here complaints either way. If it is in the game then people will complain it is too hard. If they don't put it in then people complain that they didn't have a near unkillable monster....

The legendary Udyrfrykte that guards the Severed Nord Leg :celebration:

I approve of this statement
Even if we don't get a creature like the OP talks about, I really, really hope we get to explore the http://www.imperial-library.info/content/labyrinthian A grand dungeon with riddles, puzzles and foul creatures? YES! Even if it's not related to any kind of quest I want to go there.
