I suppose the game won't take place in all skyrim. In Morrowind you couldn't roam all Morrowind, only Vvanderfell.
EDIT:
He didn't say major he said massive.

oh! better this way.

A city can be important and not very large.

Why would they have a map of the ENTIRE Skyrim in there office with the point of being able to write on it for game developing purposes if they are only gonna make the game in a small area of the map?

How do you know they are massive? They are all just dots to represent the cities.

How about 8 major cities, and 5 of those will be massive?

You can't really tell size on the map. Some may be large cities like the Imperial City, some may be smaller towns like Anvil.

Also about the map on the Wall at BGS why would they have a high detail one with many points of interest if they aren't making such a complex map for a game?

I just hope the smaller villages have more than two houses and an inn, as in Oblivion, with more of an individual flavour. How much did these people drink if two villagers and a legionnaire can make a pub a viable business?

If it's any indicator the pub in the GI scans was empty.

I think it will be five massive cities. On par with the Imperial City or more so. And we will have average cities like that of Bruma and we will have smaller settlements and towns closer to what we saw in Morrowind.

I was asking him how he knew all 8 cities were meant to be massive (since you know that's what he was saying).

I was just suggesting that he didn't realize the map doesn't depict how big the cities are meant to be, so there really should be no worries for Skyrim. You'll probably get 3 regular sized cities and the other 5 that Todd mentioned will be "massive".

Todd Describes some Dwemer ruins as an "epic city"

Those "epic cities" dwemer ruins are those single-celled yellow squares on this map. That should give you an idea.

u cant tell teh size of the cities. and by massive. considerin how they r seriously about to go OD on this game it seems. Massive = larger then the imperial city in oblivion. The size in no way has to be relative to the one in oblivion. heck for all i care they can say that the biggest one in skyrim is half that of imperial city. becuz they dont need to be game to game relative in size. i mean in arena the cities r absolutely massive in comparison to ones in morrowind and oblivion. so i wuld not worry too much man. we will be satisfied. there are plenty of major cities in oblivion only one is "massive" but the map doesn't say which is wut size.

Because you really think there are only going to be 30 or so dungeons in Skyrim? There are over 150 dungeons in Oblivion.

I wouldn't be so sure. I'm almost certain I found about 50 (not 100% sure, but almost)

If the largest city in Skyrim is the same/around the same size as the IC I will be so pissed. That thing was tiny.

Yeah, basically there could be 5 massive cities, but 3 smaller villages/towns.
