How far back into TES do you go?

The best thing about Morrowind was that I had no idea what it was about and it I started playing it just after I had finished Fable. It was everything Fable was, and more. I don't regret losing those hundreds (if not thousandss) of hours.

My cousin showed me MW when I was about 9. I played MW every time I visited my cousins, but I wasn't allowed to play at home. After MW i started playing OB - AT HOME. And i loved it. I loved both games and I still love them. The nostalgia kicks in everytime I hear the MW song :)

Started with Daggerfall. I don't think Arena was availiable in Greece when it came out, or at least I didn't see it anywhere. Played Arena too after it became a download here. If having played PnP RGPs or having played old CRPG's qualifies someone as hardore (more like old hehe), that would make me quite a bit.... but then again... DONT TOUCH MY FAST TRAVEL

Working my way backwards.
FO3 first.
Oblivion second.
And gonna play Morrowind as soon as I'm done with my current game.
After that I have a bunch of older RPG's to play but I guess I'm going to tackle Daggerfall after Morrowind.

Arena on Windows 3.x, had to launch it from a DOS prompt. I played Daggerfall as well, but missed Morrowind, came back to the series with Oblivion. I've since played Morrowind, and personally prefer Oblivion overall.

I personally started with Oblivion.
Darn game made all my grades bad though :)

I am a great lore lover, so I have red some books about the universe, but not much. I'm more of a Warcraft fan.
Love the lore, love the games, hope the best for the series.

Morrowind was my first ES game, I remember the fond memories of getting so lost that I get help from my friend to figure out where I was lol,I also remember calling him on the phone so we could go through the same dungeons together good times. good times.

My first TES ever was Redguard back in the day but because poll doesn't have it I had to choose Morrowind which was first "proper" TES game I played. Then played Oblivion when it was released but couldn't really appreciate it (felt dumbed down and way too simple after Morrowind). Only after I bought GOTY edition for my PS3 I actually started to like it and did understand why so many people love it.

Also when Arena and Daggerfall were made freeware I played them through and quite much enjoyed the experience (I'm a bit of retrogamer perhaps so its no surprise I liked them!). Especially the story of Daggerfall was great. Overall Morrowind is still my favourite in the series while Redguard is a special case because it was my entry in the world of TES! :)

First TES game I played was Morrowind. I'm kinda "hardcoe" (???) - I make mods for Morrowind. I play on the PC.

It's interesting just how many people Morrowind brought to the series. No wonder it's the game everyone looks back on fondly.

Morrowind (GOTY).
Oblivion, with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles.
Fallout 3.
Fallout: New Vegas

I'm somewhat of a hardcoe roleplayer, but I like to develop my characters naturally. I'll have an idea for a character, start the character, and see where the wind takes me with them.

I play for the consoles. First Xbox (Morrowind), then Oblivion and Fallout 3 for Xbox 360 (with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles), Then Fallout: New Vegas and Oblivion (just with Knights of the Nine) for PS3.

My PC is a hunk-o-junk.

I started with Morrowind right after it came out and played it right up to Oblivion's release, and I've been playing Oblivion since release day. I downloaded Daggerfall when Beth released it for free but never really got very far. I started playing Arena just before the Skyrim announcement and finished it on Christmas, and now I've just started a serious playthrough of Daggerfall.

Anyway, I've played them all, so that makes me a living legend right? :disguise:

And I play on PC.

Thanks everyone for replying. I really enjoy the 'hive' memories about the TES universe ;) Here some personal replies, nothing more, nothing less.

Lol, great story man. In fact that's the way i felt the first time i played Morrowind, could grasp the openness!

Lol, the Oblivion with guns and the eager to find the truth was what took me to Fallout after i had dediced not to go for it. And it turned out a very good game in the end!

LOL, unvelievable!

Ha! If they were your mates then great!

That has to be some impressive record. And no, you're right, most of us miss the depth.

Pen and paper exp is superior to modder as role player status :P

That sounds like an emotional memory, hehe. But a great story!

The difference may lie in the spirit, this points the Skyrim way and i even made a second poll with the same name but about Skyrim
Im too hardcoe to play OB .

ROFL, that's something to quote!!

My first TES was Oblivion but I have just started to go back and play Morrowind and Daggerfall. Mainly Morrowind I can't get into Daggerfall, because of the combat and the fact that all I have for a mouse is a laptop mouse pad.

I started with MW, I tried Daggerfall and Arena, but they were just too dated for me to really get into. Back in the day though I am sure Daggerfall would have been great.

I started with Morrowind in my young teen years and was really, really lost on what to do at first, so I didn't play it for several months. As I got older, though, I was starting to learn how to play Morrowind and played until my character got to level 25 and then I would start adding tons of mods. However, I moved to another state and then I did not have a good PC anymore, and was busy with school, so I gave away my copy of Morrowind. I tried to pick up the console version of it a few years later, but the game has aged a bit too much for me by then.

Then, I picked up GOTY Oblivion and I am currently enjoying it just a bit more than Morrowind. I LOVE the fast travel because: I am a busy college student with a part-time job, so I cannot walk around forever in a video game, especially in a MASSSIVE game series as TES. I also love that I can actually FIND things and people a bit faster. (It was a bit tough with the vague directions in Morrowind for some quests) I also enjoyed the action-aspect a bit more in Oblivion.

I am a casual girl gamer and I am not ashamed to say so. =)

I can't wait for Skyrim! =D
