The other day, I found a small article talking about different types of Argonians http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian It talks about the different tribes of Argonians, but to me it seems more like they're discussing species, like with the Khajiit. Would it be fair to say that each 'tribe' listed there could be divided up into various smaller clans? And does anybody have any additional information on Argonian breeds/tribes?

Actually, the Khajiit are all the same species, they just take different forms depending on the phase of the moons they're born under.

As for the Argonians, my interpretation (ie. not necessarily accurate) is that the Agacephs, Paatru, Naga and Sarpa take their form depending on how much Hist sap they lick, and then they band together with Argonians with similar forms.

Probably same goes for the Arena Argonians and the Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion ones (these three seem pretty much the same). Is there any word on what these types of Argonian are called? I know of the Archeins, which seem to be standard Argonians, but they seem a bit too "upper class" to be the ones we see in-game, and as far as I can tell are just one tribe of "normal" Argonians.

Just a tid bit, nothing established, but according to Morrowind's race description Argonians go through a male/female life cycle. It isn't mentioned anywhere else that I know and so probably isn't, as I said, established lore.
