Were they around at the same period in time? Im confused in MW i read alot about dwemer but in OB I hardly ever see anything about the Ayelids except (i cant remember) but i think it said they were high elves.

Yes. Until 1E 243 the Ayleids had control over Cyrodiil (see the http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/last_king_ayleids.shtml for details), the Dwemer didn't disappear until 1E 700.

Aside from their ruins and http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/songofpelinal.shtml and other items Knights of the Nine there is not nearly as much information about the Ayleids. In part this can be blamed on the Allesian Order that went a long way to destroy every scrap of Elvish culture in Cyrodiil.

While I understand the sentiment. You should apply the same amount of critical reasoning to the Imperial Library as you do to the Unofficial Elderscrolls Pages. We're all just human in the end.
