Tron: Evolution is probably the best movie tie-in I've played. Runner up being Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Why the harry potter game? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb1c_YQHO_k&feature=related

I loved Harry Potter 1-3. But everything after that is terrible.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Tron. It's one of my favorite sci fi movies. But the game was an utter let down for me. They could have done so much better, but noooo let's just put a bunch of neon on Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time and we got ourselves a game. As if the game was disapointing enough, that collector's edition? Don't even get me started. :swear:

Hm.... I cant really think of any.... would Force Unleashed count as Star Wars move Tie-In? Cuz the first one was amazing. The second was too short.

Edit 2: Any Star Wars games that are not based directly on a film do not count. Such as Force Unleashed, KOTOR etc. Things that do count are games based on the movies like ROTS or ROTJ.

Although it IS a great game.

I really enjoyed it. The platformer style gameplay worked really well for it I think. :)

I also plan to be buying the Collector's Edition sometime soon. :P

IMHO It would be more worth it to buy the other toy light cycles they have. That light cycle with the CE is cheaper then a McDonald's toy. There was nothing else of redeeming quality I found in it either. Especially at that price.

Now I love PoP and it's platforming style gameplay. But I was hoping for something more original with Tron. The original arcade game was so ground breaking with it's multiple games instead of one. But Evolution was the complete opposite. It directly ripped off PoP with some boring tanks scenes and the same light cycle level over and over and over. The only thing I think they got right was the multiplayer, the story line? Not so much. I think what they should have done was made an open world game set in the Grid and you can do anything you want and do the main quest at your pace. With innovative gameplay and design overall. I believe they could have achieved this but instead they went the cheap route. Also, is it really that hard to make a respectable, reasonably priced CE? C'mon Disney

Tron: Evolution

I rather enjoyed this game specialy since I've read the book Tron: Betrayal, helped alot with the backstory. It did have a few annoying parts in it like the wall jumping, climing and running got old fast, I mean in a few areas of game it's ok to have these but when you make the game nothing but wall jumping and junk, it get's old fast. Still I liked the tank scenes and the light cycles where kinda cool.

Battlefront 2 pretty much tied in with the whole Star Wars franchise. Ah, I remember when I reached General rank in that game. Good times.

Blade Runner, The Thing, Chronicles of Riddike: Escape from Butcher's Bay, GoldenEye 007, The Lion King/Aladdin, Tron 2.0, Scott Pilgrim: The Movie: The Game, Super Star Wars, Alien 3: The Gun, The Warriors... they're the best I played.

You have to remember it's a movie game though. When buying them I set my sights considerably lower than with other games. :P You can't really compare them to other games, you have to compare them with other movie titles. ;)

all ones previously mentioned and Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone for PS1. From what I can remember it was an awesome game. There were races, quidditch, magic lessons, puzzles everything you could ask for really. It was really fun.

Well of course. When compared to other movie games I think the visuals were stunning and it had better multiplayer then any other movie game I've played (none). It had some cool trophies/achievements too.
