Do you guys think that there'll be birthsigns?

Well, how much control do you thin we'll have over how our character starts out?

As we all know there's no more classes, so besides race, what can we pick?

I certainly hope so. They should work like the traits from Fallout did. An advantage in one skill alongside a disadvantage in another skill you don't plan on using anyway.

Probably. I assume we will probably see the same birthsigns, with a few additions maybe?

What exactly does getting rid of classes mean? Does that mean there's still a "pick a custom class" system, or what? Or does every race and gender start out with the same skills?

And there better be birthsigns, there's no reason there shouldn't be. Frankly I dont see how the game would operate without them.

It would be in keeping with the series, so I don't see why they would take it out. I do think there should be more win/lose to them though... some of the ones that have no drawbacks are just too tempting to me.

I hope not. I want the return of a Daggerfall-esque advantages/disadvantages system, instead.

if they do i hope they tweak them. most of them were utterly useless cause the spell that you got with them was a joke and didnt scale. after only a few levels you could buy or make a spell that was better than what they had. i almost always took steed or the thief for the early bonuses and warrior for the extra damage........the rest were just a waste.

Im pretty sure itll end up lik FO3/NV where when u start ull pick race/birthsign and then 'tag' the skills u lik.

hopefully birthsigns will be tweaked and be actually useful tho since over half of them were useless in oblivion

If you look closely at the screenshot in the GI magazine with the skill menu, you can see in the background what appears to be the birthsign of The Mage, or Wizard, or something similar.

This.

We never needed the birthsign system.

Both can be satisfied. Just make each birthsign give a certain advantage AND disadvantage. Like the New Vegas traits.

I agree and if they go full bore with the racial distinctions they should not be missed by anyone.

I wouldn't mind if we had them both there.
