You fall asleep to the sound of a squeak toy and a meowing cat? Wow.

It takes me a while to get to sleep most of the time. Unless I'm especially tired, it can take anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour or two. However, I've improved a bit because I've been listening to relaxation videos on YouTube just before bed, which puts me in a very sleepy mood. If I could listen to them while in bed, it would be even better, but I can't do that just yet.

Yes. I think it might have something to do with it helping to steady my breathing, because I tend to end up breathing in the same pattern/timing as I'm imagining it. My breathing gets congested pretty easily here.

I'm about to have the opposite problem

I have to stay up for work (graveyard shift) but we had to work early yesterday (had to get up at 6)

I'm gonna be falling asleep tonight when I'm supposed to be working. It's not going to be easy staying up -_-

I've never even been in a holding cell, let alone slept in one :(

Do I lose cool points?

I usually have a lot of trouble falling asleep at night too. Yesterday however, I fell asleep at 6PM and didn't wake up until 7:30 AM the next morning... The only thing I can recommend you for falling asleep easier is working out or anything else like that which makes you more tired. It usually helps a little. Alternatively, get drunk every night. Not sure if I would recommend that though :P

6 hour bus ride once. I could not fall asleep. I was awake the whole time. It was very very boring.

I would hate to say this, BUT, talk to your Dad, that is if you are staying with him when not at your Moms. Have you talked to your Mom? This could be child neglect. If you Dad or who ever you stay with talks to your Mom and doesn't do anything, then, maybe Childs services like Children Aid Soiciety might need to be involved if your Mom refuses to get you better accomodations. This is a health risk, you are not getting any sleep.

The way I read your post, you can't sleep because of the bed, not because you can't sleep. Sorry I have no idea how you can sleep with the conditions you are in, except to change your condtions.
I wish you well and hope everything works out fine.

My stupid brain keeps thinking whenever I try to sleep. :banghead: I find that exercising will help you fall asleep & don't eat after 7:00pm.

I have really odd sleeping habits. Although they change every week so I guess they aren't habits.

Like last week I could only fall asleep with the TV on and at a certain volume, with jeans, a t-shirt, and socks on.
The week before I had to wear pajama pants, and have a light on.

I hate Mondays and Tuesdays because that's when I figure out my weekly sleep requirements. I usually don't get much sleep those days because it's a trial and error process to find em. :snoring:
