That is a huge help. I know the areas Maholix could be wandering by now, and know what to prep for. I also know a lot more about the npc's than I did. I've been working on some rough write up, we'll see how it turns out. To answer part of your question, I will give my unfinished notes, so you get the idea of how he'll seem publicly. With what I know now, I'll be making some slight adjustments, adding more details etc, but I figure I'll post what I had written down already just in case.

He appears to spend money freely, but is actually quite calculating with where and how he spends it. Is a little loose with the amount, but not greatly wasteful. For example, you may see him buying drinks often, or visiting vendors but he's actually doing this to be around people so that he can listen in on them; though he may get more than he actually needs. (an extra drink or two never hurt)

Maholix:

Dislikes the company, for he does not trust them. He thinks they are hiding something, but continues to work with them for his own benefit, pretending he has no problem with them.

Sides more with the guild due to his secret lifestyle, but does so privately. Does not trust the guild either, but is more prone to believing them, as he sees them as people who actually work hardest for a living.

How they view Maholix:

The Company - Uneasy about him, as they dislike the freelance guild, but still include him because he has status and money

The Guild - View him as one of them, (may even have rank) but see him as something of an outsider in their group. Most are a little annoyed he will work with the company. "I dunno, he goes off and does his own thing usually." Despite this, he has proven his worth to them and they accept him.

What will he like to talk about to player? (topics)

-Freelance-
Yes, I'm a freelance. I look for work where ever I find it. Unlike many other members of the guild, I go where the profit is, even if that means working for the company. It sure beats what I was doing before. I work as the (didn't know what to call the job) normally, but occasionally the company will hire me as a part of the town defense. No doubt they choose me because they heard I was a knight.

-Noble-
It means I have a good heritage. It also means I am a member of the upper class. Though that seems to mean a great deal less here than it does where I am from. Still, my money is good and the whole town knows it.

-Knight-

'why would I speak to you about that? I doubt you would understand.'

~~Must Use Speech Craft~~
A knight is someone who does things not because he has to, but because he should.

Unlike those who do things for profit alone, I as a knight, am bound by a strict code of conduct. One can not stop being a knight, for it is a long journey full of rigorous training and many oaths. I won't bore you with the details, for I doubt you would truly grasp them, except to say my honor demands I do some things a certain, and usually, more difficult way. The reward is greater for doing such however, and so this suits me.

Normally my obligation would be to a lord, but my lord was a member of my own family, and they are gone now. I do my best not to dwell on the past. With no lord, I am a free knight and I do as I please.

Church:
Should appear reflective, may be heard muttering something about protecting the weak
(more detail later)
Visits most mornings

Town: (different areas)

At vendor- should look chatty as if discussing bissness or the weather
If stopped by player -- Comments about some errand or another

At Work- (get more details) hmm.. did we have bissness with one another?

Near town gate - ???

House: (normal)

-should seem relaxed and enjoying the comforts of being rich
If stopped by player -- 'Excuse me, but do I walk into your home and interrupt you?'
Or
'Yes I see, and what did you feel was so important as to bother me here? Did the company send you? I'm afraid my shift has ended. It can wait.'

House: (secret)
Need more on freelance guild and his involvement first

Arena:
How will arena be handled? Bets? Pick fights? Time of day?

-should look intent on the fight, occasionally found sparring on the stage

If stopped by player -- "I remember a time when swordplay was more about fighting for something you believed in. For a purpose. Not just to beat one's chest or barbarically clash metal against metal.. any fool can do that. If the people here could only see the sort of things that used to happen near my home. Now THAT was real swordsmanship! But that's in the past I suppose."

Sorry it took me almost a week to update all this. Been pretty busy. My other notes I posted still needs some touch ups and info filled in, but this should be more helpful. In my notes you may have noticed I have called the freelancer company the "Freelancer's Guild" or "The Guild." I felt this would more clearly define them as a separate group. A group that is not the company, but more of a competitor. It will cut down on confusion and it seems that they would never have "company" as part of their name. New info first.

About Maho's Secret:

A few things you should be aware of. Maho doesn't usually work with others while acting as his alter ego. This keeps him from being seen too often, and lets rumors of his attacks to be confused as they get retold, effectively covering his tracks. It has a hit and run style, so that if there are survivors of such an attack, (he sometimes shows mercy or some get away) people are panicked from the sudden and vicious manner in which they were beaten. This helps them confuse details and to keep their mouths shut.. as well as hopefully not try their crimes again. He usually attacks under cover of some sort, such as rainy weather or fog, where it is hard to see your attacker clearly. If he does attack outside of these conditions, he leaves no witnesses of his attack alive except the innocent, ever careful to not expose himself. Usually he attacks at night, or a distance away from a town. (often only attacking during the day if someone is alone)

He gained this alter ego of his after tales from survivors, both those he had mercy on.. and those he saved from an awful crime, ambush, or other tasteless attack/trick began to spread, turning into rumors. It began to be rumored that if you did something awful, a phantom of a long dead soldier may attack you. That this soldier still stood watchful even now, and would punish wrong doers. One of the secrets to Maholix's success in keeping his identity secret is that he only protects those who don't reveal him. Even if you do chance to figure out who he is, if you tell someone, he usually won't come to save you again.. making your story seem false, all whilst killing off those who would harm him.

This in turn has led to many of those he has saved in the past actually aiding him, such as telling conflicting tales to cover his tracks.

NPC'S, Locals and the like

- Basic Locals -

hunters, local traders, common citizens.

Treats most the locals with indifference, except for those who he has dealings with. Favors traders over more common folk, partly because he finds them to be useful more often. Likes hunters as well, but will treat hunters he does not know with suspicion at first. (wants to ensure they aren't bandits)

outcomers

Just your typical travelers to him.

travelers, smugglers
Pays little attention to travelers unless they do something notable (or are in great need of help) He dislikes smugglers, even publicly, because he views them as thugs; but will leave them alone unless they cause trouble. One does not get rich with pure honesty however, so in rare cases even he may strike deals with the nicer smugglers.

enemy force

Not very detailed, will be worked on once more is known

enemies from north/south country, spy and army

Not much is known, can not form opinion yet

- Special NPC's -

the company lead by the master of this town, a legend man who usually is a no show in public.

under him there are two powerful men:

one is guard captain[who lead army]
the other is town mayor[who manage common things]

Need more info on these three

- Other NPC's -

Freelancer's Guild
Has four major members so far: (five including Maholix)

Salandas[boss,old man],
Need more info before opinion can be formed.

Velkaran [civilized local potion seller],

Maholix would know this character. In original concept of the character, Maho was really good at making potions and was always seeking some sort of rare plant or herb. In the case of this world, it would instead be a hobby of his that he fancies. Since it is an interest of his, he'd be good at making a number of basic yet practial potions. After all, though it's "just a hobby" of some rich guy in public, it would actually come in handy for that secret life of his, and of course a knight would be interested in healing arts. Plus a traveler has to know how to patch himself up. He be more skilled and would know more than a usual noble normally would.

For more advanced potions though, he'd confer with Velkaran, occasionally helping him find things he needs in hopes for services and training.

Vraptor [kind local hunter],
Has no real opinion of this person, but true to the reason he favors the guild over the company, he likes that vraptor knows how to live off the land, and believes this hunter can care for himself.

Lasskar [strong local rough man]
This guys sounds like he'd like booze. Would be a drinking partner, but Maho always drinks alone so as to not be distracted while he is listening to folks. Might ocassionaly buy him a drink to look friendly, so as to not draw attention to himself.

The Company

The Misc Item Shop Owners [2 sisters that have no parents] (Need Names)

These two would actually be under Maholix's personal protection. (in secret) Not only has Maho always had a soft spot for women, but would relate to them having no other family. To add to this, a pair of girls like this would appeal to his knightly sense of honor and nobility and in turn would make him feel as if it's his duty to look after them. They might notice some extra money appear in their shop when they are in dire need of cash, and would prolly mention something about being saved by a mysterious person when they once got lost in the wilds.

-Topic about them to be added soon

The Smith [is a old man]
Would in theory be aware of this man and talk to him about weapons from time to time. However, a craftsman may recognize the weapons he made, so he would either be secretly helping Maholix despite being a member of the company, or Maho would buy an occasional weapon from him to keep up appearances.. but get the weapons for his secret life elsewhere.

The Corrupt Guard [may take bribe]

Although Maholix leads a secret life, he would ironically dislike this gaurd if he found out. While he would not be downright hateful, he would see this as shying away from duty. This to him would be dishonorable, and he would consider it the act of a coward. A guard is a person who, much like a knight, makes a promise and has a sense of duty. To throw such a thing away for petty coin is distasteful to him.

Maho was a family knight for his family up until they died, and understands the need for order among the rank and file, having been something akin to a prince of the household.. (like nobles often are) Maholix always fulfilled his duty, unless honor demanded different. To him, he defends the innocent and thus takes the higher road, which makes his actions okay.

For a guard to abandon honor and duty for simple coin makes him little different than the bandits Maholix secretly fights, and he would look down on this guard, who should know better.

So there ya go! I know it's a lot to read through, but I figure it always helps to have lots of info when your still in concept. Of course, a lot of this is a suggestion overall, but I hope it saves you the effort of having to come up with all that on your own. :)

Thank you Maholix.

very busy recently. but modding is still going.

UPDATE

1
Maholix house complete, here is screenshot show both outdoor view and indoor view. it set near south wall and between arena and smith.

http://i50.tinypic.com/2vbwthk.jpg

it's a 2 floor house with secret passage lead in to outside the town[to south wildness of the town]. the layout of this house is unique, different than any other ingame cells, such as the skywindow, more high space feeling. it have kitchen[1st floor] , bath room/toliet[1st floor], dinning room[1st floor] and bedroom[in the 2rd floor].

2
more infor about background in my mind. some of them are daydream , which means havn't actually added to the mod.

How will arena be handled? Bets? Pick fights? Time of day?

this is the place consist of blood, cheers, scream, somebody happy, somebody sad. someone's life end here, someone's life get a new start.
you may bet on red team or blue team there. 24hours at your service. there are 2 major services , one is bet on fight, the other is slave trading.
information about an npc there:
the arena belongs to the company. the master of arena is a man named stard whom offer bet on fight service. he allways there. some people think he lives as a dogleg of the company.
but he think life treat him not bad, he arrange gladiators bleed for the money he need hand in to the company, sometimes he pick a nice slave woman for a good night. he think he work for the company and no one dare to do him any harm. he also do not care his figure in people's eyes. he think he got the right positon in this town and that make him live happy. he enjoy the king feeling in this small space Although he know when the real king come he just a dogleg. I may or may not improve the arena cell to add more rooms or houses for gladiators and servant and slave, ofcause there is one for stard.

enemies from north/south country, spy and army

yes, spy may draw map around town and mark important place, or do some dirty job such as assasin important people. the enemy army recently is the army from south country, they camp not too far from the town which means threat. and the letterman from north country bring another on going threat.

about society here. lots of people here are open-mind, science and other useful knowledge get respect. their culture are more advanced than a common old village. they have church as school to teach common knowledge, they know take potion and bath for their health and clean, they have farm product foods, they have contract center for easy job finding and trading, by use slaves they get their hands away from dirty, but to papers and silver cup. althouth some of the local still common hunters with their common lives.

more info about the 3 powerfull man here
the master:
a legend man who usually is a no show in public. when he show up, he wear a mask or helm. according to the figure in people's memory, his is a thin man, have less muscles than a common villager.
his age is about 30-35 years old. he didn't gave people a long speech. he named laws and his order with simple words. simple as stone but you can not move it a bit. he lives in his manor at higher part of the town[that big building at west]. only the man he pick/called can see him. some people think there must be many treasture in his manor, but even the most dangers wanted man do not dare to try stealing. it seems no one know too much about him, even old man can not tell too much story about him. some people respect him as a living god, some people fear him. there is also a rumor say he just a puppet. also a rumor say he is sick and dying.
under him there are two powerful men:
one is guard captain named lypire[who lead army], he is a strong young man. he lead army smashed enemy many times, have great fame in border. due to the silence style life of the master, he is more welcome in many people's heart. when enemy coming, he is the reason why people still drink with each other. people trust him and cheer to him. few people wonder why he havn't replace the master, but they do not dare to talk that in public. he lead the army, so some people think he is the real and most powerfull man in this town.
the other is town mayor[who manage common things] an old man, he wear nice cloth and speak like gentleman in public, he do things as it come. his speech craft is not bad and he is rich. sometime he perform long speech like a president. he manage the income of this town, some traders like him. although he like to talk, but when talk about the master, he use words very carefully, not too much, just show respect.

Freelancer's Guild
Has four major members so far: (five including Maholix)

the boss[salandas] introduce to player: except the four members you allready know, there are also some friends which do not like to join but may aid us sometime. such as Maholix, the noble knight.
there is also another friend named Amelia, she is a alone hunter live in forest, nice woman with deadly marksmanship ability. I sent she on a mission to detect the movement of enemy camp outside town recently. haven't get any message from her, I wonder what happend there and intend to send more people to aid her right now.

The Misc Item Shop Owners [2 sisters that have no parents] (Need Names)

the 2 named eva and cathy. eva is velkaran's girl friend. cathy is the younger one. maholix try to aid these 2 by money but they did not accept that. these 2 woman live by their self.

Good to see work on it is ongoing. When your activity on the thread slowed, I feared life had taken you away from it again. I know you are quite busy after all. Figured I'd give it about a month and check back; I'm glad I did. I will get back to work on my character now. This new info will be put to good use. On another note, I like the house. It looks very much like a noble's house indeed. It suits him quite well, except for one thing, which I should point out.

Now, from the screen shot I don't get to notice a lot of the finer details, and as such I may have overlooked something; forgive me if I make an incorrect statement here. While looking at it, it seems to miss a slight warrior's touch to the house. A knight is more than a noble, he is a refined fighter too. This is so much a part of him that it should be reflected slightly in his home. Now I know he's trying to keep his activity secret, and as such would not have a lot out in the open, but he is sure to look suspicious if, as a knight, he has nothing reflecting this status in his home.

Either way, the house looks great! It's even quite similar to how I pictured it. I will post some more notes when I have them ready, and be sure to let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for in the mean time. :)

Nice work here. I know how hard and annoying it can be - almost to the end of my own town mod ^_^

Can I suggest that you use Grumpy scripts for the slaves you mentioned? And for any other companions you may have lieing around? I love it when my companions don't get lost at the other end of Vvardenfell.

EDIT: Will any intervention spells take you to the chapel? If so what one?

Update

1
increase the size of south wilderness of the town about 25% in order to have enough space to hold a few hunters and animals. not enough excited look, but the space is enough for a few idea of what i thought.
2
add teleport spell support to the chapel, when player cast almvis intervention spell , he/she will be teleport to the chapel.

Maholix: about maholix's house, it seems to miss a slight warrior's touch to the house.

Yes, give me some idea about add what things into the house. and about your character, the most i need at the mean time is pure dialogues. you may just
tell a story, or talk about something,

It's not really that big a deal, but wouldn't it make sense more for Divine Intervention to take you to the chapel? It doesn't seem to much of a Tribunal-ey place to me.

In real life, I'm busy in these 3 months. my current work is boring. I allready have seeking for a better work for better income and life years. recently, I'm intend to start future trading. for now, I think "book reading" is enough, "practice" is not enough, but I'm intend to start it soon. may god bless me.

for the update, there are a few things done. 2 new house cell complete, one is base on the one for maholix's house, but parts of the layout is changed for better looking.
this project is still underdeveloping, but slower than before. feel free to offer your ideas and your character if you like to become one of local in this town.

See you all next time.

3 monthes have passed since the last update.

Not too much changes to the mod have been made during these days.
Because I'm busy with future trading, the good news is I allready earn 7% profit so far, which means I may put some time on rest and modding.
I may put some screenshots when next update come.

I like the mixed styles. It's surprisingly rare to see people mix up the architecture, which is a shame.

Good work on those interiors! :)
