Senet Massri: The solider of Canada

Post » Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:31 am

This is a spinoff of my character in New Manhattan, this has her early life, and her military career up to the start of my first post in New Manhattan, special thanks to Alex and Assassin. Alex for starting New Manhattan, if you hadn't made that RP, this fan fiction wouldn't be possible. And Holy Assassin for helping me developing this character, best lucks to the future! (This doesn't mean i quit New Manhattan, this will explain my character indepth instead of snip pits in the flashbacks!)
-------------------------------------------
Chapter one-Its a girl!

Senet Massri was born in "Rapparport" tribe village, nearby Saskatoon, on March 6. Her parents were descendants of Arabic farmers who moved to Canada. She was born in a troubled time, a famine was coming to a end, and forces of the "Canadian Alliance" were moving ever closer, and traders stopped going to the small tribal village. Her parents, Ahmed and Nefertiti, were strong believes in freedom, she was taught at a young age to go with the flow. They always told her from the age of 3 that she was to become something greater than a farmer at a small tribal village.

This is a working fan fic, comments welcome!

*It's

When does this fic even take place? Why is Canadian Alliance in quotes? It makes it look like it's a joke. What is the Canadian Alliance, anyways?

Is this a Fallout fanfiction?

When? I actually don't know, alex never really states it in the RP, if he gave it away, i could subtract the characters age to it. Why is it? I dont actually know why i do that. and its a 'country' that took over Canadian areas like Saskatoon and Winnipeg.

And yes, it is.

Write the numbers one through ten.

Other than that, this is a ridiculously small post to even call it a chapter. You need some length, several paragraphs. Check out Mammoth-That's has good size chapters. Lords of Pitt has large chapters, and Blackhands, Chip fanfic has decent length chapters. I recommend you check them out.

Good Luck.

You beat me to it Yttrium.

Everything I agree with. Other than the fact that I really need to write a story for my New Manhattan character...it's a bit of a shaky start. The chapters need to be longer. It doesn't need to make my scroll bar look like the size of an atom but it still needs to do its job and that job is to tell the story.

I recommend...at least about 5 or so paragraphs at the bare minimum. But personally when I write stories for fan fiction or other forums I may be involved in, I usually write ten paragraphs at the very least for my stories.

Also, a little thing to do when you're writing is after you think of a beginning to a chapter, just let your mind run wild and type your chapter, letting your artistic part of the mind do the typing rather than the other parts. Heck, if you can type very well without looking at the keyboard, just close your eyes and write.

After that, stop when you think you're done with the chapter and then edit it. If you made spelling mistakes, correct them, grammar errors, correct them, etc. I recommend using Mozilla Firefox if you're typing this on the forums directly(not recommended), or Microsoft Word if you're not(recommended).

Now my last point. Don't type in the forums directly. I mean it matters very little but using Microsoft Word helps A LOT on spelling and grammar, saving time for you to fix stuff like story progress or "does this scene make sense in a reality stand point" rather than conventions. Just copy and paste the Microsoft Word file to the forum, use the correct "bold" "italics" etc. where needed, and have fun.

*I've never used Google chrome before but I know Firefox has a spelling feature but it doesn't have a grammar feature, which isn't as big of a deal but it still irks people a bit when glaring grammar errors are present on accident.

**Although spell check helps tremendously, some stuff like your character's name may be labeled as misspelled. If you are 100% sure it isn't misspelled and merely just a word in the Fallout series or a word you made up that's relevant to the story, don't be afraid to right click it and select "add to dictionary"
