The quickest way to make icons is just to put the object in the CS, take a screenshot, paste that into Photoshop, crop, make the gray transparent and save.

I don't have Adobe Photoshop. That's why I'm asking on here.

You could either try http://www.gimp.org/ or http://www.getpaint.net/index.html and I believe these two can handle Photoshop files.

One last thing, how much do you thing a map of tamriel should weigh and cost? For weight I'd say 1.00 or 1.50. For value, I'm guessing maybe 20 gold? I'd imagine maps aren't rare and that they're found quite frequently in the world. World maps aren't in the games because the devs aren't focusing on that but in a real life Vvardenfell, I'd imagine they'd be quite available.

you can always use the "guide to XXX" items as a template. they are basically area maps.

phew. okay let's measure a bit. an area map isn't that expensive. but this is a tamriel map or a huge tamriel poster. so it should be a bit more expensive! but mws economy is different to ours. to value it right: what about 20 to 40 gold for a tamriel map but 120 for a tamriel poster? if it is both, maybe a value in the middle. has it any more uses than decorative? Maybe you think of what decoration item would have a similar value.

It's not even a full map. It covers part of the western side of Tamriel but mostly it covers the Eltheric ocean. And it's a standard sized map that you can hold in your hands. I'd say 25 septims or so. It would weigh less than scrolls because scrolls have wooden poles to unravel the paper. This is just a piece of paper with a map drawn on it by a cartographer.
