We're not crazy. :celebration: It's a thing, no ?

And there is a conspiration.

Rushed change with the grammar mistake and all because it described the feature better? Pfff, please. I agree, they removed it for different reasons.

yea, I'm going to go out on a limb and say there is no way they can keep personality from being completely broken
"You! you're the scum who killed my brother! ...can I get you a drink?"

I don't see anyway that it will be believable that if you off someone there family member will still even talk to you let alone give you a quest. Especially If that scenario happens a lot where a family member steps in and will still give you a quest it will be broken.

Nice update...what's going on with the waterfalls? They look frozen, other than that the screenshot is nice, but low quality compared to what's possible on the PC. The article mentioned a forest demo or something..I wonder if the next update we get will be a performance demo, or a tech demo, or maybe even gameplay!

That means TES XIII will be the best TES ever! And TES XIV will be the greatest, most bug-free game of all time!

Oooh smarmy I like it! I see what you did there...

They could be frozen, I mean... Well, it's cold in Skyrim.

Let's hope they don't drop the ball on this one and lie like they did about RA in Oblivion.

Also, sounds like a whole lotta level scaling. If it works, it sounds neat, but it seems like there's butt loads of "leveled enemies and loot" for the player.

Yeah. It's good because it avoids the conundrum between accidentally killing quest givers or dealing with essential characters ; but they'll have to throw in a mighty amount of persuasion to make it work.

Maybe something different each time ? Like, figuring out for each NPC what will get them to talk to you - finding out a secret and blackmailing, holding someone/something hostage, bribery, false remorse, framing someone else, finding some artifact for them, etc.

Did the "200 years" bit that was edited out of the book description on all those websites without word or warning make you think "Oh, it probably won't take place 200 years after Oblivion"?

Yeah, it did.

Yeah, I kept thinking about how much level scaling will be in the game as I read the article. I am one of those guys who dislikes thew concept, but I'm sure the devs know what we want better than we do.

[*] Teases about Dragon Mounts/Mammoth Mounts: Just a rumor, not confirmed.

You mean like http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&q=mammoth++dragon#/d30efb5 :woot: :woot:

If the games like that, then I'll die happy :celebration:

You have some good ideas. Maybe the family member will send you into a trap too when you think you're going on a quest.

This game just keeps getting better and better! It's like they are fixing every issue (even the little ones) that I thought held Oblivion back from being a perfect experience.

1) Ditching Speedtree software. It looked good 6 years ago, but now it looks really outdated. This is the first time I have ever been excited about foliage in a game
2) They are focusing on the LOD and draw distance blending. This was the main graphical issue (other than animation) holding Oblivion back, as the textures at medium and long distances looked awful.
3) Better streaming of the environment means less jarring pop in everywhere.
4) More impressive wind and weather effects (I  thinking about the snow effects)
5) Improved radiant AI and more activities. Seeing people mining, farming, and logging rather than standing around will make the game so much more immersive.
6) Better animation and physics with update Havok engine. Everyone knows how bad the animations were in OB, and Havok should make the animations a high point in the game rather than a low point.
7) 3rd person gameplay will be vastly improved with the improved animations and havok behaviors. I might actually try the 3rd person mode now!
8) Level scaling more like FO3 than Oblivion. That is great news. Although I still prefer Morrowinds style of no scaling, FO3 was lightyears beyond Oblivions broken system...
9) Unscripted, dynamic dragon movements and flight! That sounds so unbeliebably cool! I was hoping the dragons weren't just going to be an animation loop ocurring overhead, and now we know their flight patterns and combat sequences are unscripted....Amazing!
10) Random encounters and relationships. Increases re playability (as if they needed to), and makes the game so much more exciting and unexpected.

I was trying to keep my expectations low.............and then they had to go and announce all of this. The only thing preventing this from being the greatest game ever (imo) is a delay until next year (please no delays :shakehead: )

It will have a flawless launch and break sales records... :celebration:

Bethesda, if I ask one thing, I ask this: please no multiplayer for TES, ever.

Its also based on who you kill, how many family members can take over the quest (are we talking cousins and aunts and uncles or just immediate family), places you've been, what skills you've been leveling, your rep...

If it can be coded in, it can be explained in a guide.

I wonder how varied the side quests will be?

Or how many.....

Must be a ton of NPCs...
