Moving onto the next section of the tutorial; adding clutter to the vault. I had already watched the tutorial before, and tried to bring stuff in from the object menu (item > misc item > clutter), however nothing appeared when I dragged it onto the display window (it made the normal curser change to show it should be dropping something, but when I let go of the mouse button, it selected the part of the vault the mouse was over).
I decided to watch the video again, and go along with it this time. Opening the object palette (World > Object pallete editing), there was nothing there to begin with where there was on the tutorial. I guessed that it might load the previous set you loaded previously (as the tutorial had random objects already loaded, or something to that effect). Clicking load (to go to clutter, as the tutorial did), there was nothing there. No objects in OPAL where there had been in the video. Going to the folder manually (E: > Games > Fallout 3 > OPAL) it confirmed that the folder was completly empty.
As far as I'm aware I've got the latest version on fo3, and I know I've got the latest GECK version (I deliberatly got it before posting the previous thread). As stated in the previous thread, I've got quite a few mods on the game (which is what tempted me to try my hand at this sort of thing), however I wouldn't have expected them to activly delete all the items in the folder - and while I've not played it today, last time I had played it, there was random clutter around the place.
Anyone able to help?
Oh, and I wasn't able to test out my vault either - I went to the data files on the FO3 loader (from the CD if that makes a difference), and made sure only the FO3 and my new file were selected (I couldn't unselect the main FO3 one). I tried pressing the tilde key; nothing happened. I tried loading a previous game - again, nothing happened. I'm sure that the vault is fine, but it'd be nice to know if there is an alternate way to test out the rooms/vaults you've constructed.
Thanks!
