Looping Dialogue....

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 3:53 am

Ok, I recently tried to join a guild and when it asks if I'm sure if I'd like to join, if I click either yes or no, it just repeats the question, are you sure, and provides the options yes or no again.........I checked in the CS and it looks like this.

Yes, you look like you would be a good candidate.

"results"
Choice "yes" 1 "no" 3

Both the yes and no choices are available with the corresponding function choice # in the dialogue for this NPC, is there something thats missing here?

Further clarifacation, Yes results are PCJoinFaction "faction" and no results are Goodbye....at least in the CS, but in game, it just loops, and keeps asking if one is sure they would like to join and you have to force close the dialogue box, which is annoying, and it doesn't actually make you part of the faction.

Make sure the choices (the results) are sorted in descending order. You technically only have to have the answers above the question, but I find a general descending order is a lot easier to work with. :)

As peachykeen says, you answers need to be placed above the question, since morrowind checks the dialoguechoices from top to bottom and the question itself will fullfill the conditions and therefore be a possible answer to the question.

Is that from a mod?

Yea, it was my fault, I somehow managed to create a merged dialogue list, when I meant to only creat a merged object list with testool, thank you for your quick responses though, it was doing this for both the mages and fighters guild, and it was caused by the merged dialogue mod which I didn't even realize I had created, let alone activated. :brokencomputer: :whistling:
