Something interesting I noticed from this list of the games with various Havok licenses:

http://www.havok.com/index.php?page=available-games

There are numerous games listed as having licenses for Havok Physics only, or Havok Animation only, or both Havok Physics and Havok Animation, but every single game listed that has a license for Havok Behavior also has licenses for Havok Animation and Havok Physics.

Some trailers for the games listed as having Havok Behavior and Havok Animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpBu9DUuAyw&hd=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GRl3TRquMQ&hd=1
http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/games/kung-fu-rider-ps3.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-75Md0FuGCQ&hd=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPjNIHGZ_AA&hd=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyeLmIP1ANw&feature=related

If it has something to do with the way Havok Behavior is licensed, perhaps Skyrim is more likely to also incorporate Havok Animation. Of course, it should incorporate Havok Physics, which is necessary for Havok Behavior if I understand correctly from the previous posts.

It seems unlikely that Skyrim will incorporate Havok Destruction as the only game on the list employing Havok Destruction is a The Shoot, a PS3 Move game that has deformable terrain.

The Creation Engine sounds rather impressive in my opinion.

It can easily create environments ranging from forest to snowy tundras and great rocky mountins. From what I read they can add waterfalls easily alongside brooks. The lighting in the world cast real world shadows around everything and the light reflect upon the game world unlike in Oblivion. They put in a precipitation reader for the snow so it builds up in different amounts on the surfaces of different objects which is great. it seems to open up alot of rather impressive and diverse settings for us to explore a vast and unique world I look forward to see how the game works and see this new Creation Engine to give us the living breathing world we crave... sorry for the typo above inthe title of my post. :twirl:

Yeh many posts on that but , I woul dactually lke to see it befoure , from the only picture I seen I can't say really wow compared to Cryengine or UDK , but its surely better than the gamebryo , so this means that now they have their propietary tool? Also dropping Speedtree in favour of their own tech for trees will allow even modders to create the trees they want and so better mods I guess....

Why do you guys even comment if you don't know what your talking about?
Creation Engine is the main engine. Havok is the physics engine and Havok Behaviour is the animation engine, powered by the Havok physics engine.
I reckon that Havok Behaviour can't do a thing without the physics engine.

The havok site itself has some nice videos showcasing the stuff, havok behaviour itself seems to be a system much like euphoria where the preset, static animations are affected by physical forces, possibly with AI tie-ins for when there's a /lot/ of force - similar to how throwing a can at somebody in GTA4 could cause them to stumble, and throwing a car at them could cause them to be knocked sideways. Should make shield bashes particularly satisfying.

It's nice and all, but I don't really care. As far as world creation goes, Morrowind level technology would have been enough to make me happy. What's actually important to me is that they give the Nords a proper sense of cultural identity and the the Creation Kit is good.

This is already confirmed - Todd mentioned that the level designers were using something called the "Creation Kit" in their cubicles during the Behind the Scenes of Skyrim video.

And even in the article, it says something like "...Bethesda have made the new Creation Engine and Kit."

It is too close to the G.E.C.K.. If your going to use the words Creation Kit, then it should have a name tied to Skyrim by name.

Maybe the Skyrim Environmental Creation Kit System.

Yeah, it would do them no harm if it were referred to as "teh sechs", I'm sure. :D edit: No, really. It would only make it more popular or something.

What I'm hoping for is better water. I mean, really damn good water physics. I know, it's hoping for a lot, particularly from a console-shackled ghost of a PC game (more or less), but still. It would be nice. :)

Or even better, the Skyrim Universal Creation Kit System (svckS).

Exactly. ...and that's how good the modding kit will make the already sure to be great Skyrim.

Q: How Good?

A: "Liek, teh secks!"

The Skyrim Environmental Creation Kit System, it's a perfect name.
