*************************************
"Horrid carnivores, man-eaters that know no fear. They are evil, stupid, with crude habits.
They are sometimes described as turning to stone upon contact with sunlight and able to regenerate."

Falx Carius, Captain of the imperial guards at Fort Frostmoth.

INTRODUCTION
This mod adds a new creature, the Troll, to the leveled lists of Solstheim.
The trolls can be found only in the green areas of Solstheim, where also the Spriggan can be met and in some caves.
The trolls turn to stone under the daylight, and become again of flesh during the night.
When stoned, they can be attacked and destroied with no risk.
The trolls usually bring with them human skulls, bones and flesh.

There is also a new topic, "Trolls", that is activated once you have met at least one of these creatures.

This mod requires BLOODMOON

CREDITS & USAGE
I (Antares), modelled and animated the creature. I have also painted the textures, I used some textures made by Bethesda as base.
Feel free to use this model as you wish.

This is really brillant! The model is beautiful (as far as a Troll can be), the animations are great and the idea of turning Trolls into stone under the daylight is fantastic ;) It fits so nicely in Solstheim lore that I would add it to my game immediately if I still played Morrowind.

Looks pretty good, I'll be sure do download it when I get home. I really like solsthiem, but there was always an absence of much to do there other than the two quest lines and the couple of side quests. Anything to make it more lively is warmly welcomed.

Whoa, really cool! :woot: I watched the video and both the model and the animations are superb. I also noticed there was an object in the eating animation idle, which is not part of the model (or to say it better, you can't see it in any other animation). How did you do that and can it also be used for NPC animations? (Thinking of your Animated Morrowind and the method to do the animations there.)

it is a bone that the troll eats. It is part of the model, it appears just in one of the idles. Unfortunately, this way cannot be used for npcs

Excellent work - the turning into stone at day was brilliant and what a great way of integrating it into the game - what a great reason to go to Solsteim :starwars:

Next you'll be redoing the player's animations - oops sorry wandered into a daydream :)

Thought it would be, but I had to ask anyway. Well, it did sound too good to be true. :(

* Wanders off to hunt some trolls... Wohooo! *
