I'm starting to develop my mesh making skills but I am hopelessly at a loss over textures. Does anyone know where to find tutorials that start from the very basics of Gimp (especially layers)? Also it would be awesome to find tutorials that cover how to add detail, bump maps, glow maps and such to textures and photographs.

If you have problems with textures just come back to the forum and post some screenshots of what you are trying to do
