Questions from a newcomer

Just got the game for Christmas for xbox. I have played a few hours so far mostly exploring and have a few questions. And it is the GotY version.

First, I have been a pc gamer all my life and since I got this on xbox (xbox and game were gift to my son), I was wondering if you all preferred pc or xbox and why. Is it easier to aim with a pc because I am still trying to get used to the xbox controls. Years ago When I played morrowind it was on pc and I liked the ability to use console commands to fix errors and such. Can you do that with the xbox version or are you just SoL?

Do the vendors in the game refresh their money supply? The girl in craterside supply has been out of money for a while.

What is the benefit to being 'well rested'?

Regarding radiation, does it stack over time or does it go away with time? Or once it gets high you have to use rad away to lower it (assuming it stacks over time)?

I am not looking for spoilers as I am just having fun atm exploring the area and taking odd quests.

Some do and some don't. It is kind of annoying.

You get more experience points every time you get them. For example 15% more than normal for killing an enemy

It does not go away with time, RadAway or a doctor can be used to lower it. The negative effects are pretty bad, and there's a certain point where it kills you. It's easy to keep track of though with the PipBoy.

That's my favorite part of the game, how much there is to do other than the main quest.

I don't think there are Console Commands for the 360. I only have this for the 360, but I enjoy most of my games on the console. I have been a console gamer for years and not much on the PC side and love my controller.

If you want to make sure you don't screw something up, just save often and have a lot of save files. If you enjoy this game, you could get Oblivion.

PC, because of mods.

Is it easier to aim with a pc because I am still trying to get used to the xbox controls.
I use a wired xbox controller but I find using the mouse harder, if that is what you are asking.

I liked the ability to use console commands to fix errors and such. Can you do that with the xbox version?
Console commands don't work on the xbox.

Do the vendors in the game refresh their money supply? The girl in craterside supply has been out of money for a while.
Most do that I know of do, but every 3 to 5 days. I think it takes a week for Moria to resupply caps.

What is the benefit to being 'well rested'?
You get an experience bonus when fighting things.

It doesn't stack over time but there are different levels of "radiation sickness", which affect your S.P.E.C.A.L. stats depending on what level it is. You do have to use rad away to get rid of it anyways or see a doctor.

Hope this helps, enjoy the game :)

Sorry for stealing your method FinalWish :P

Radiation does stack with time, it won't go away and you have to use chems or a doctor to get rid of it.
